The information is collected from these sources by either active collection
or passive reporting. Active collection involves registry personnel actually vis-
iting the different sources and abstracting the data on special forms. This is
the usual method in registries in developing countries. Passive reporting
involves health-care workers completing the notification forms developed
and distributed by the registry, or sending copies of discharge abstracts to
the registry. A mixture of both procedures, with an emphasis on the latter,
is followed in most registries in developed countries.

Statistical machine translation (SMT) models require bilingual corpora for training, and these corpora are often multilingual with parallel text in multiple languages simultaneously. We introduce an active learning task of adding a new language to an existing multilingual set of parallel text and constructing high quality MT systems, from each language in the collection into this new target language. We show that adding a new language using active learning to the EuroParl corpus provides a significant improvement compared to a random sentence selection baseline. ...
To obtain the basic information on human exposure to mercury (Hg) due to gold mining activities in North of Viet Nam, total mercury was determined for human hair and blood samples collected from population living in gold mining area. The results indicate that the mercury concentrations measured in 98 blood samples with ranging from 1.128 to 22.751 ppb and 65 hair samples with ranging from 0.379 to 2.440 ppm, the good correlation between concentration of mercury in hair and blood samples was found in people and the ratios of hair Hg to blood hair were 195 for males and 142 for females
After studying this chapter, you should be able to: Describe the basic business activities and related information processing operations performed in the revenue cycle; discuss the key decisions that need to be made in the revenue cycle, and identify the information needed to make those decisions; identify major threats in the revenue cycle, and evaluate the adequacy of various control procedures for dealing with those threats.

Most of us, at one time or another, want to collect more useful
data and make better decisions. When we make mistakes, we
promise ourselves to "pay more attention to what is going on"
or "consider all the factors before making a decision." But the
truth is, we may not know how to pay more attention to what is
going on, and we have little idea how to consider all the factors
before making a decision. The purpose of this book is to provide you with activities

The AD database contains all information about objects in all the domains from logon
authentication to objects in the directory. A hierarchical structure made up of multiple
domains that trust each other is called a tree. A set of object definitions and their associated
attributes is called a schema. All domains in a tree will share the same schema and will have
a contiguous namespace. A namespace is a collection of domains that share a common root
name. An example of this is support.troytec.com, marketing.troytec.com, and troytec.com. ...
The United States is viewed by the world as a country with plenty of
food, yet not all households in America are food secure, meaning
access at all times to enough food for an active, healthy life. A proportion
of the population experiences food insecurity at some time in a
given year because of food deprivation and lack of access to food due to
economic resource constraints. Still, food insecurity in the United States is
not of the same intensity as in some developing countries.
This module provides students with the knowledge and skills to manage and
restore the Active Directory directory service database.
At the end of this module, students will be able to:

Describe the process of modifying data in Active Directory.
Describe the garbage collection process in Active Directory.
Back up the system state data by using the Backup utility.
Restore Active Directory by restoring the system state data.
Move the Active Directory database to a new location.
Defragment the Active Directory database.
Infrared Thermography (IRT) is commonly as a NDE tool to identify damages and provide remedial action. The fields of application are vast, such as, materials science, life sciences and applied engineering. This book offers a collection of ten chapters with three major sections - relating to application of infrared thermography to study problems in materials science, agriculture, veterinary and sports fields as well as in engineering applications. Both mathematical modeling and experimental aspects of IRT are evenly discussed in this book.

Monitoring and regular review. Project manage-
ment must keep track of how the project is
progressing in terms of expenditure, resource use,
implementation of activities, delivery of results and
the management of risks. This is achieved through
‘monitoring’, which is the systematic and continu-
ous collection, analysis and use of management
information to support effective decision-making.
Monitoring is an internal management responsibil-

We have combined several types of data for this analysis. Our main data contains automobile
transactions from a sample of 15-20% of all dealerships in the U.S. from September 1, 1999 to
June 30, 2008. The data were collected by a major market research rm, and include every
new car and used car transaction within the time period for the dealers in the sample.
I also feel strongly that art making is a research driven activity. The infor-
mation contained in this book is written by some of the more innovative and
interesting minds working in ceramics today. While not all of the ideas are
necessarily groundbreaking, they are unique in their individual approach to
the use of the material. How these artists researched and successfully used the
processes they set out to is inspirational, informative and important. I hope
you find the research contained in these pages as exciting as I do....
In recent years, although slowly, steps have been taken towards a greater liberalisation of
the agricultural markets. However, agriculture still accounts for 66% of the protectionism
in the trade for goods and services today. This explains, at least in part, its small impact
on international trade, since it only represents 4% of the gross world product (World Bank,
2006). For EU member countries, agricultural protectionism derives from the CAP
(Common Agricultural Policy).
