Vietnam’s success in achieving rapid agricultural growth since the implementation of policy reforms in the late 1980s is now well documented (World Bank 2004). Agri-cultural growth was fueled mainly by growth in rice productivity following the rapid adoption of modern varieties, increased fertilizer use, and increased cropping intensity.
"The Arguments of Agriculture is a delightful read for both the specialist and the person just getting to know the increasingly contested terrains of agricultural policy and ideology. The approach is even-banded, insightful, and faithful to diverse claims." - Frederick H. Buttel "Its well-planned format makes the book particularly useful for studying the philosophy, sociology, or economics of agricultural industry, as well as for environmental studies." - ENVIRONMENT
As a major rice exporter worldwide, the quality of rice has become a central issue for farmers in Vietnam, especially in the rainy harvest season. Therefore, it is important to dry the rice as quickly as possible to prevent damage but maintain quality. Conventional drying techniques such as flat bed dryers can take up to 8 hours (or more) to dry the moisture rice to safety. High-temperature drying can allow the rice to dry more quickly, so space and time taken to dry the rice can be shorter nhieu.Nghien agricultural science...
Intensive Agriculture: The agriculture sector is specialized in all aspects of agricultural production, including machinery used in farming, animal husbandry, or in processing agricultural products . Intensive agricultural production with large input sources, including the use of chemicals kill worms, herbicides, fertilizers, selective breeding and research of new varieties and a high degree of mechanization.
To determine post-harvest losses mainly due to the fact cracked rice, the data were collected systematically based on real farmers and also by experimentations in two seasons (wet 2006, dry 2007). 2007 wet season experiments are being pursued today. The main factors considered in this study during data collection are:
• Harvest time before and after the seeds mature
• Harvesting methods manual, harvesters, combine harvesters
• drying method and cost-sun drying and mechanical drying
Farm mechanization helps in effective utilization of inputs to increase the
productivity of land and labour. Besides it helps in reducing the drudgery in farm
operations. The early agricultural mechanization in India was greatly influenced
by the technological development in England. Irrigation pumps, tillage equipment,
chaff cutters, tractors and threshers were gradually introduced for farm
To assist MARD to develop mechanisms for determining agriculture research priorities as a basis
for investment decisions for high priority opportunities for agriculture research programs and
projects across all areas of the agriculture sector.
To prepare a draft set of research priorities the agriculture sector using objective and subjective
data and information and results of previous priority setting workshops at the subsector level.
What is the first office of the soil? How does it hold water for the uses of the plant? How does it obtain a part of its moisture? The mechanical character of the soil is well understood from preceding remarks, and the learner knows that there are many offices to be performed by the soil aside from the feeding of plants. 1. It admits the roots of plants, and holds them in their position. 2. By a sponge-like action, it holds water for the uses of the plant. 3. It absorbs moisture from the atmosphere to supply the demands...
