  • Most books on house rabbits are written as a result of the author’s personal experience with a rabbit companion. This book is no exception. I first conceived the idea of writing about disabled buns after my experiences with a rabbit who required constant specialized care. He inspired me to write an article about caring for special-needs rabbits, which appeared online, and I then planned to expand the topic into a book.

  • We used the approach outlined above to plan, develop, assess and revise, and test and re-test the notice drafts. We used various qualitative research methodologies to collect consumer input to develop alternative privacy notices or components of notices that consumers can understand and use. The various qualitative methods took place during the first three stages (Plan, Develop, and Assess/Revise) of Kleimann’s Information Design Model. Although the final step of the Information Design Model is Evaluation, this chapter does not discuss evaluation.

  • There’s a perfect way to build multipurpose muscle, says Michael Mejia, C.S.C.S., our workout expert. It hinges on one word: stability. See, most guys lift weights from the outside in. That is, they start with an idea of what they want their muscles to look like and go from there, pummeling their biceps and pectorals and abs with the most basic exercises. The result: big muscles that look really good from the outside and perform really well in isolation, but lack simple balance and coordination.

  • Not all sensations, and not even all harmonious sensations, are however aesthetic. Witasek holds, it is true, that all aesthetic feelings presuppose (are founded on) intuitive presentations; but he nevertheless draws a clear line between aesthetic experiences on the one hand, even those relating to objects of sense and to simple Gestalten, and merely sensory feelings - for example my feeling of pleasure in the warmth of a wood fire. To follow his reasoning here we must introduce yet a further distinction in the realm of mental phenomena between acts and contents.

  • Since the first edition of this book published in 2002, there has been a significant evolution of implant design where many of the major implant systems share common design features that facilitate treatment, improve success, and allow clinicians to more readily adapt to an alternative system. At the same time, there have been huge developments in CAD-CAM applications to implant dentistry and rapid treatment protocols. Despite these changes, the underlying basic principles of thorough diagnosis, meticulous treatment planning, and execution of treatment remain unchanged.

  • Given that the remuneration of UCITS managers is, at least partly, based on the performance of the fund, there is an incentive to increase the level of risk in a fund's portfolio in order to increase potential returns. However, the higher level of risk exposes the fund investors to higher potential losses than might be expected given the disclosed risk profile of the fund. Remuneration structures might be skewed so that managers participate in materialized returns but do not participate in materialized losses, creating further incentives to take on higher risk strategies.

It begins with the writings of the earliest architects of golf courses because their books are not easily come by and the similarity of their philosophy and ours is of significance. Having mostly the same aims, their results were noticeably different but this is probably of less significance, given the infinite variety of their sites and local variations in interpreting their instructions.

  • The small size of the private bond market also constrains its role. One of important benefits of a developed private bond market is that it can act as an alternative funding source when corporations’ access to overseas markets is limited or in the face of a domestic bank credit crunch. The disruption in the global money and credit markets in 2008 led to a liquidity squeeze for Brazilian corporations and financial firms.
