Due to the development of mobile and Web 2.0 technology, knowledge transfer, storage and retrieval have become much more rapid. In recent years, there have been more and more new and interesting findings in the research field of knowledge management. This book aims to introduce readers to the recent research topics, it is titled "New Research on Knowledge Management Applications and Lesson Learned" and includes 14 chapters.

As insurgent threats evolve and assume new forms, the United States must also evolve in its ability to counter potentially prolonged threats in several parts of the world. Because of the potential for global reach in contemporary insurgencies, the ability to draw on lessons learned from past counterinsurgency (COIN)
Reproductive rights advocates have been put in a particularly challenging position because
public debate about ART has been dominated by abortion politics. The Religious Right has
succeeded in centralizing the discussion on the moral status of the embryo, obscuring a broader
set of issues. Put in a defensive position, the reproductive rights movement has, until recently,
not had the opportunity to grapple internally with the complexities of ART use, and has tended to
fall back on traditional models of individual autonomy and choice.

As part of the process of formulating the Country Gender Assessment, a workshop was held
in Kabul in September 2004, to which a wide range of international and national agencies1
active in the various sectors covered by this report were invited. The goal was to gather
information about good practices and lessons learned and to benefit from the insight gained
by various agencies that have been working in Afghanistan in some cases for more than two
decades and whose expertise too rarely is drawn upon outside their own programs.
The First Conference of French-Speaking African Countries on Men’s Participation in
Reproductive Health was held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso from March 30 to April 3,
1998. It was organized to share experiences and lessons learned over the past decade
among African organizations about communicating with men on reproductive health
This toolkit is the result of teamwork between sexual and
reproductive health practitioners working with young
people in Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Uganda.
The first version of the toolkit was developed with
International HIV/AIDS Alliance, Planned Parenthood
Association of Zambia, Young, Happy, Healthy and
Safe, the Ministries of Health and Education, and peer
educators and young people in rural Eastern Province,
Zambia. The toolkit was tested by peer educators and
revised on the basis of their experience and the lessons
learned in monitoring.
The goal of the conference was to share lessons learned in Africa about men’s participation
in reproductive health in order to develop new or enhance existing approaches for French-
speaking African countries. Men in French-speaking African countries play key roles in
reproductive health, whether as individual family members or as decision-makers at com-
munity and national levels. Most service delivery and information campaigns, however,
focus on women.
A further barrier to pension funds‟ investment in green projects is their lack of knowledge and
experience not only with „green‟ projects, but with infrastructure investments in general (which green
projects are often a subsector of) and the financing vehicles involved (such as private equity funds or
Until the early 1990’s latex production has been the main objective for
rubberwood cultivation in Thailand. In 1989 the Thai government established
a national natural forests logging ban. This law raised an immediate demand
for construction and furniture wood in Thailand. Previously, the rubberwood
trunks left over after the latex production, were either used as firewood at the
plantation site or in charcoal production. Rubberwood offers qualities to ease
off the demand for natural tropical forest trees and this way helps to decrease
the pressure on illegal logging.

Increasing men’s participation also is a high priority for the International Planned
Parenthood Federation (IPPF/Africa), which tries to reach men in their communities, in
workplaces and schools, in hotels and bars, and through social marketing, as well as with
clinical services. Lessons learned from IPPF experience suggests that men are not opposed
to family planning or to contraception but need to receive more information, along with
community support and support from employers and opinion leaders.

Several overarching themes emerged from interviews with stakeholders in the six case-study
states regarding issues both internal and external to incentive programs that encourage and
discourage the adoption of small-scale renewable energy technologies in their respective
states. First, external factors will be discussed; illuminating the backdrop against which these
incentive programs operate is important in understanding and assessing program
This approach has strengths and weaknesses. Its great strength is that it is supremely logical:
think before you build, write it all down, follow a plan, and keep everything as organized as
possible. It has just one great weakness: humans are involved.
For example: this approach requires that the good ideas all come at the beginning of the
development cycle, where they can be incorporated into the plan.
.I hope you’ll join me in venturing together into this new relationship! The Lessons The idea of Learning Lessons is to build our cooperative relationship with Nature through new knowledge and practice. Each lesson is broken into short parts, providing information building on the last lesson, and giving you a framework for thinking about Nature and your relationship. Each lesson includes at least one practical exercise to move your relationship forward. You’ll noti

The research field of robotics has been contributing widely and significantly to industrial applications for assembly, welding, painting, and transportation for a long time. Meanwhile, the last decades have seen an increasing interest in developing and employing mobile robots for industrial inspection, conducting surveillance, urban search and rescue, military reconnaissance and civil exploration.
Although the responsible pathogenic mechanism(s) still remain in-
completely defined, methods for optimal prevention and manage-
ment have changed during the past fifteen years (5–8). To make this
information available to physicians and public health authorities,
WHO convened this expert consultation to both update and to ex-
pand the 1988 document. RF and RHD remain to be conquered, but
until that can be accomplished, optimal methods of prevention and
management are required. The recommendations in this document
are based upon current medical literature.
Although there has been considerable improvement in the health
indicators, still more than 60% of the population has very little access to
basic healthcare (MOHFW 2003). The number of qualified physicians
and nurses in Bangladesh is quite low, compared to other low-income
counties (Cockcroft et al. 2004). Around 26% of professional posts in
rural areas remain vacant (Chaudhury and Hanner 2003).
