Temporal relation resolution involves extraction of temporal information explicitly or implicitly embedded in a language. This information is often inferred from a variety of interactive grammatical and lexical cues, especially in Chinese. For this purpose, inter-clause relations (temporal or otherwise) in a multiple-clause sentence play an important role. In this paper, a computational model based on machine learning and heterogeneous collaborative bootstrapping is proposed for analyzing temporal relations in a Chinese multiple-clause sentence.

Improved manufacturing productivity, over the last 50 years, has occurred in the area of
machining through developments in the machining process, in machine tool technology
and in manufacturing management. The subject of this book is the machining process
itself, but placed in the wider context of manufacturing productivity. It is mainly concerned
with how mechanical and materials engineering science can be applied to understand the
process better and to support future improvements.
This book, based on intensive research I have conducted since the late 1970s,
is my attempt to cover in one monograph the modern theory of surface generation
with a focus on kinematic geometry of surfacemachining on amultiaxis
numerical control (NC) machine. Although the orientation of this book
is toward computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aidedmanufacturing
(CAM), it is also useful for solving problems that relate to the generation of
surfaces on machine tools of conventional design (for example, gear generators,
and so forth)....
This work is an extension to the earlier publication Instrumentation Fundamentals for
Process Control (2001) in which the basics of instrumentation were given along with
some applications of instruments and control systems to real processes. Because the
present work is an extension of this latter aspect, it is therefore confined mainly to the
techniques of applying instrumentation and control systems to manipulate the process to
give the desired results.
