  • As a salesperson, you could take your product/service on the road, visit one prospect at a time, and engage in an in- person meeting with each prospect. Although this sales method is highly effective, it’s also time-consuming and costly. Another alternative is to advertise or engage in traditional marketing activities so your prospects and potential customers come to you. This, too, can be a highly effective, but costly, endeavor, although, it’s always nice to run a targeted ad and have prequalified prospects knocking at your door or calling you on the phone....

Recognition and understanding of the special nutrition problems of the aged are being intensively researched and tested, especially due to the increases in the elderly in the general population. In developed countries, economic restrictions and physical inactivity during aging can signifi cantly reduce food intakes, contributing to nutritional stresses and needs. These tended simply to record the level of the class attended and didn’t give information about real-life communicative competence or individual progress or achievement. They had a vision of a coherent system of clearly described levels, of interesting communicative kinds of assessment recorded in a certificate which would show – in language accessible to everybody – the learners’ language competence.

In many African countries with large amounts of suitable but currently uncultivated land, transfers of technology could pro- vide large benefits to local populations. To reduce risks and increase benefits, greater effort will be needed to identify local comparative advantage, assess the technical viability of proposed investments, improve weak institutional frameworks for land governance, and level the playing field for smallholder competitiveness.

We used various qualitative research methodologies to collect consumer input to develop alternative privacy notices or components of notices that consumers can understand and use. The various qualitative methods took place during the first three stages (Plan, Develop, and Assess/Revise) of Kleimann’s Information Design Model. Although the final step of the Information Design Model is Evaluation, this chapter does not discuss evaluation.
