  • Chapter Title i Applied Behavior Analysis for TeachersWe prepared the first edition of Applied Behavior Analysis for Teachers over 20 years ago because we needed a technically sound, systematically organized, and readable text for our own students. We want students to understand concepts of applied behavior analysis and also to know how to apply those concepts in classrooms and other settings. Applied behavior analysis can make a difference; its principles can be used to teach academic skills, functional skills, and appropriate social behavior.

  • Tài liệu về kinh tế học pháp luật. Tài liệu bằng tiếng Anh, mời các bạn cùng tham khảo. Economic analysis of law usually proceeds under the assumptions of neoclassical economics. But empirical evidence gives much reason to doubt these assumptions; people exhibit bounded rationality, bounded self-interest, and bounded willpower. This article offers a broad vision of how law and economics analysis may be improved by increased attention to insights about actual human behavior.

  • The analysis model of a structure includes nodes (joints), elements and boundary conditions. Finite elements are used in data entry, representing members of the structure for numerical analysis, and nodes define the locations of such members. Boundary conditions represent the status of connections between the structure and neighboring structures such as foundations. A structural analysis refers to mathematical simulations of a numerical analysis model of a structure.

  • With many 'flexible' structures such as large span bridges, tall buildings, towers, cable roofs, etc., being built, the need to understand the dynamics behavior of structures has become a necessity for many engineers. The recent problems with the millinium bridge is simply another reminder. The many devastating earthquakes in many parts of the world leading to severe loss of life in densely inhabited urban areas alos has underlined the need for a fundamental understanding of structural behavior.

  • This book incorporates selected topics on theory, revision, and practical application models for water supply systems analysis. A water supply system is an interconnected collection of sources, pipes, and hydraulic control elements (e.g., pumps, valves, regulators, tanks) delivering consumers prescribed water quantities at desired pressures and water qualities. Such systems are often described as a graph, with the links representing the pipes, and the nodes defining connections between pipes, hydraulic control elements, consumers, and sources.

  • Multibody simulation consists of analyzing the dynamic behavior of a system of interconnected bodies comprised of flexible and/or rigid components. The bodies may be constrained with respect to each other via a kinematically admissible set of constraints modeled as joints. These systems can represent an automobile, a space structure with antenna deployment capabilities, an aircraft as an assemblage of rigid and flexible parts, a robot with manipulator arms, and so on. In all such cases, the components may undergo large rotation, large displacement, and finite strain effects....

  • This essay reviews the course of consumer behaviour analysis, a research programme that employs the findings and principles of behavioural research toelucidate consumer behaviour and marketing management. Although attempts have been made from time to time to integrate a behaviour analytic perspective intomarketing research, the tendency has been to concentrate on the potential contribution of operant psychology to managerial practice rather than to examine the potential of behaviourism to provide a theoretical basis for marketing and consumer research. ...

Like most other speech acts, the realization of the speech act of criticizing is influenced by a number of social and situational factors, the perception of which might vary greatly across cultures. In addition, cultures may also differ in their common topics and frequency of criticism their people make in everyday life. ...

  • powerful and widely-used method for analyzing the performance behavior of parallel programs is event tracing. When an application is traced, performancerelevant events, such as entering functions or sending messages, are recorded at runtime and analyzed post-mortem to identify and potentially remove performance problems. While event tracing enables the detection of performance problems at a high level of detail, growing trace-file size often constrains its scalability on large-scale systems and complicates management, analysis, and visualization of trace data.

  • In this article, Professor Robert Prentice takes issue with the trend of courts honoring contract-based securities fraud defenses and advocates the maintenance of a tort-based approach. Contrary to the arguments of contractarian theorists who argue that investors should be able to contractually negotiate their desired level of risk, and consequently that disclaimers and no reliance clauses should be honored, the article uses behavioral principles to undermine the assumption that humans ra-tionally contract....

Using extensive analysis, we propose a novel paradigm for designing summary generation systems that reflect the diversity of perspectives seen in reallife collective summarization. We analyze 50 sets of summaries written by human about the same story or artifact and investigate the diversity of perspectives across these summaries.
