Recently, tourism activities in Quang Binh Province have been growing rapidly, especially since the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park was certified as the World Natural Heritage in 2004. Among the tourist sites of Quang Binh, Phong Nha and Dong Hoi tourism centers are the two places which attract the largest numbers of visitors. The rapid but unplanned tourism activities have been creating various social and environmental concerns.
This monograph describes a model for evaluating the combined capacity of organic (U.S. Air Force–owned and –operated) and contractor maintenance assets to meet aircraft programmed depot maintenance (PDM) workloads. The PDM Capacity Assessment Tool (PDMCAT) forecasts the average number of aircraft that will be in PDM status each year over several decades,1 based on the initial number of aircraft in PDM status, the physical capacity of the facility or facilities (number of docks available for conducting PDM work),...

Assessment of Circulating (Visceral) Proteins
The serum proteins most used to assess nutritional status include albumin, total iron-binding capacity (or transferrin), thyroxine-binding prealbumin (or transthyretin), and retinol-binding protein. Because they have differing synthesis rates and half-lives—the half-life of serum albumin is about 21 days whereas those of prealbumin and retinol-binding protein are about 2 days and 12 h, respectively—some of these proteins reflect changes in nutritional status more quickly than others.
Thesis systematized research institutions, state administrative institutions, institutional capacity building, thereby, to clarify the concept of state administrative institutions, capacity of State administrative institutions. The thesis also defines the role of the state institutions and administrative requirements on institutional capacities to adapt to the market economy and international integration. The thesis studies and assess the status of the administrative capacity of state institutions Vietnam in the market economy and international integration.
This book presents the findings and recommendations of the evaluation of the World Bank's Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Pilot Program. It shows that SEA can contribute to improving development policy and sector reform by calling attention to environmental and social priorities, strengthening constituencies, enhancing policy capacities, and improving social accountability. It also provides guidance for undertaking SEA in policy and sector reform.
Continuing trends toward military, political, economic, and social decline in Russia threaten the interests of the United States and its allies. Moscow’s capacity to govern is called into question by increasing crime and corruption (and by political and economic regionalization). Both the military nuclear arsenal and the civilian nuclear power sector present risks of materials theft or diversion, as well as of tragic accident. An increasingly aging and ailing population bodes ill for Russia’s future. Reversing the country’s economic decline and rebuilding an effective militar...
Aging U.S. Air Force fleets have deterioration problems, resulting in increased maintenance workloads. Nowhere are those increases more troubling than in the workloads associated with programmed depot maintenance (PDM), which can be significant, requiring 2,000 to 50,000 labor hours. RAND developed the PDM
Research objectives: Interpret to clarify basic issues in working capability and fostering working capability of political instructors in the district military commanding committee of the Military Region 1; assess the actual situation properly, clarify the cause and from practice draw initial experience in fostering working capability of political instructors in the district military commanding committee of the Military Region 1; identify the needs and propose main solutions in fostering working capability of political instructors in the district military commanding committee of the Militar...
The performance of a CDMA system can be difficult to assess. Link budget
calculations can be used to verify performance margins for a particular set of
parameters, but fail to tell the “whole” story in an easy to understand, visual
way. In this paper, a graphical depiction of CDMA coverage vs. capacity is
shown to be a useful tool in evaluating the performance of a CDMA system.
The graphical results are used to show scenarios in which CDMA can be both
uplink and downlink limited.
his report identified stakeholders Macadamia important industry, both government and
private enterprise. It also identifies the areas of capacity in the nursery,
growing field of research and commercial sectors.
The report then attempts to estimate and evaluate the capacity, in the
field by 3 goals and an estimated 1-5 most important measures of
key stakeholders. It should be noted that the estimated performance measures for each key
stakeholders is based on field observations, conference report, the question
feedback and assessment teams in Australia.
The authors wish to thank AusAID and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam
project approval and funding from AusAID.
Also like to thank the staff of the Can Tho University, University of Agriculture and Forestry and Agriculture Highland
Academy of Sciences has contributed time and labor to operate the project.
Milestone 8: It aims to assess the capacity of Can Tho, NLU and WASI staff:
• Design, install and advise the use of appropriate drying and farmers
• Skill in establishing and management of taste panels, cocoa sense analysis
and biometry procedures.
• Analyze and report test farm in Ben Tre, Tay Nguyen and
Successful sites, including financial analysis of farmers oriented quality cocoa
Private health insurance has offered a primary source of coverage for population groups
ineligible to public programmes, and contributed to provide insurance protection against other public
system coverage gaps. It has helped to inject resources into health systems, enabling an expansion in
capacity and services. It also enhanced access to timely care in some systems experiencing prolonged
public sector waiting times.
By 1980, fuel ethanol production had increased from a few million gallons
in the 1970s to 175 million gallons per year. During the 1990s, production
increased to 1.47 billion gallons, and total production for 2006 is expected
to be about 5.0 billion gallons. Annual U.S. plant capacity is now over 4.5
billion gallons, most of it currently in use. Demand is rising partly because a
number of States have banned (or soon will ban) methyl tertiary-butyl ether
(MTBE), and ethanol is taking over MTBE’s role (Dien et al., April 2002).
Ethanol provides a clean octane replacement for MTBE.
CARD 033/VIE project seeks to review current experience and performance of some
parts of tropical species in Vietnam, especially the Caribbean Pine, and to establish further testing
improved genetic material, including hybrids.
The project will also provide capacity building for forest research organizations related to Pinus
trees to improve the system and mass communication through training in Queensland and Vietnam,
protection and development of small-scale infrastructure, incubators, and a study tour to Australia,
related to forest management and researchers....
Capacity assessment was made based on the control (1) the quality of TOT
training, (2) objective assessment of the competence of 56 children was a lecturer
other 56 children, (3) evaluation of the TOT trainers conduct FFS in different
environment, and (4) evaluate the adoption of the farmers of the project interventions.
To improve training quality TOT, 14 experts in many different aspects of integrated
this innovative technology in Australia and Vietnam were invited to the TOT

Activities completed in the reporting period have included
• seed collections from six Acacia mangium seed production areas (SPAs) in Vietnam
• germination and raising of over 2000 seedlings from the SPAs at RCFTI, Hanoi
• further training of four Vietnamse staff in molecular techniques in Hanoi
• extraction at RCFTI of DNA from 70 maternal parent trees and 700 progeny from the SPAs
• design of field trials for planting of seedlings to allow assessment of inbreeding depression
• arrangements made for training of RCFTI staff in Canberra in October 2001. ...
