It is important to explore score reliability in virtually all studies, because tests are not reliable. The present paper explains the most frequently used reliability estimate, coefficient alpha, so that the coefficient's conceptual underpinnings will be understood. Researchers need to understand score reliability because of the possible impact reliability has on the interpretation of research results. There are several common misconceptions about the basic ideas of score reliability.
One of the most common misconceptions about success is that it relates directly to money or happiness. While success can make one rich/or bring happiness, it does not necessarily do either. In this book, a clear definition of success is given: what it means and why it is so often jisunderstood as a measure of weahth or happiness. Then, happiness is discussed philosophically before we talk further about success.

Most people would rather have a job making computer chips rather than potato chips. This may be rational, but the speed with which people state their preference belies a common misconception.
A common misconception in the Mac community is that Mac's operating system is more secure than others. While this might be true in certain cases, security on the Mac is still a crucial issue. When sharing is enabled or remote control applications are installed, Mac OS X faces a variety of security threats.
Enterprise Mac Security: Mac OS X Snow Leopard is a definitive, expert-driven update of the popular, slash-dotted first edition and was written in part as a companion to the SANS Institute course for Mac OS X.
Economics - to the great dismay of economists - is merely
a branch of psychology. It deals with individual behaviour
and with mass behaviour. Many of its practitioners sought
to disguise its nature as a social science by applying
complex mathematics where common sense and direct
experimentation would have yielded far better results.
The outcome has been an embarrassing divorce between
economic theory and its subjects.
The economic actor is assumed to be constantly engaged
in the rational pursuit of self interest. This is not a realistic
model - merely a useful approximation.
Quite a controversial title I hear you say :) We know some of the larger subliminal messaging companies are not going to be happy about us publishing the information in this eBook. The hype, and the exaggeration of what is possible with subliminal messages is quite good for business. However, we want to give you the truth about subliminal messages, without the fairy icing, without the Hollywood spin, without the corporate sales pitch. We want you to approach subliminal messaging with a strong knowledge of what it is, and what exactly is and isn't possible. With this knowledge we believe...

Compilers are used to translate source code from a programming language into either object code or machine code. Object code needs further processing to become machine code, and machine code is the central processing unit's native code, ready for execution. Compiled computer programs are commonly referred to as executables, binary images, or simply as binaries — a reference to the binary file format used to store the executable code.
Why another book on botulinum toxin in aesthetic medicine? There are a couple of
reasons. First: the main reason is the tremendous progress that we are seeing in the
use of this drug, which rapidly outstrips the present literature. Second: we still think
there is a need for good books as there is still a lot of confusion and misconceptions
around the different indications and the different drugs.
The right to health is NOT the same as the right to be
healthy. A common misconception is that the State has to
guarantee us good health. However, good health is influenced by
several factors that are outside the direct control of States, such as
an individual’s biological make-up and socio-economic conditions.
Rather, the right to health refers to the right to the enjoyment of a
variety of goods, facilities, services and conditions necessary for its
Does grammar bother you? Does it inspire first boredom, then fear? Since the virtual removal forty years ago of formal grammar teaching from our schools’ standard curriculum, such negative responses have increasingly characterised students and professionals alike. As this lively and accessible book sets out to prove, that is both unfortunate and unnecessary. Not only is grammar an enabling servant rather than a tyrannical set of absolute rules: it can also be fun.
In this part, I cover the ten most common myths and misconceptions about dividends and ten common dividend investing mistakes (plus info on how to avoid them). And check out the appendix, which offers a list of Dividend Achievers.

JDK 1.5 introduces several extensions to the Java programming language. One of these
is the introduction of generics.
This tutorial is aimed at introducing you to generics. You may be familiar with
similar constructs from other languages, most notably C++ templates. If so, you’ll soon
see that there are both similarities and important differences. If you are not familiar
with look-a-alike constructs from elsewhere, all the better; you can start afresh, without
unlearning any misconceptions.
Generics allow you to abstract over types.
The diagnosis of stroke is a feared yet unfortunately common event.
Despite its prevalence, however, both the lay public and medical profes-
sionals harbor many misconceptions about it. The very term “stroke”
describes the way this disorder often occurs. Frequently an active, inde-
pendent person is literally “struck down.” Stroke is a sudden, life-altering
event that often gives no warning of its approach.
Invitation from the Author After many years of advising clients on how to protect their money and wealth against reckless Fed policy and expanding national debt, I chose to write this book to address many of the common concerns and misconceptions people have about how the national debt affects their personal savings and retirement.
