2004 saw the launch of our first questionnaire this was to communicate and consult on North Tyneside Council’s Community Centres and Customer Services. This has provided us with the foundation to establish an ongoing programme of consultation, a very effective way of getting close to our customers and finding out more about what they want and what they think of our Customer Care. This was followed by an evaluation of what we now know our customers want.

We, the authors, have been in the grateful position of being able to support numerous
doctoral students in their attempts to publish a scientific journal article. Through this
experience, we have been able to deepen our own knowledge of how to write a scientific
article. We would like to thank all the doctoral students we have guided for the chance to
share in their learning.
We would also like to thank Dr Harry Anttila, the Director of the Language Centre of the
University of Oulu, for constructive cooperation. We would especially like to thank the

Describing the very active Swiss programme, G. Müller outlined in detail the key
contributions. They include the World Calibration Centre for Ozone, Carbon Monoxide and
Methane, the QA/SAC Switzerland, and the World Optical Depth Research and Calibration Centre.
Mr Müller, the Rapporteur on Strategic Planning and Implementation of GAW, has led the effort to
produce the GAW Strategic Plan (GAW Report No. 142). He pointed out that Swiss scientists

Those who during the past thirty or forty years have frequented working men's clubs or other centres of
discussion in which, here and there, an Owenite survivor or a Chartist veteran was to be found, will often have
heard of the Guernsey Market House.
The contribution of IT networks to improving or compromising equipment functionality can
bear on both justification and optimization. This can apply to both PACS or RIS networks in
diagnostic imaging, and planning and treatment networks in radiotherapy centres. The
requirements for acceptability of such networks are beyond the scope of this report. Likewise
display monitors and viewing boxes are not treated here.
As already mentioned, this report focuses on qualitative criteria and suspension levels. It is
not intended to provide a template for quality assurance programmes.
Responses to the realities reflected above are not new to NRM or community-based
development. There have been significant changes to the methods and theoretical
underpinnings of all kinds of community development over the past 30 or so years.
Much of this change is the result of reflection on experience, coupled with, and sometimes
forced by, the insistence of local voices like Freedom’s, to be heard and reckoned

The condition of America's schools varies widely even within the same
