This research is designed to achieve three objectives. Firstly, it tries to identify the risk factors, influencing the production and trading of coffee, discover the gap in risk management theory from literature review, and suggest conceptual framework. Synthesis of Synchronization Algorithms
In this chapter we derive maximum-likelihood (ML) synchronization algorithms for time and phase. Frequency estimation and synchronization will be treated in Chapter 8. The algorithms are obtained as the solution to a mathematical optimization problem. The performance criterion we choose is the ML criterion. In analogy to filter design we speak of synthesis of synchronization algorithms to emphasize that we use mathematics to find algorithms - as opposed to analyzing their performance.
Fuel cell-powered aircraft have been of long-term interest to the aviation community because of their potential for improved performance and environmental compatibility. Only recently have improvements in the technological readiness of fuel cell power plants enabled the ﬁrst aviation applications. Based on the results of conceptual design studies and a few technology demonstration projects, a widespread understanding of the importance of fuel cell power plants for near-term and future aviation applications has emerged.
