Zhang (2004) designed a multi-index model to determine the effect of industry, country and
international factors on asset pricing. Byers and Groth (2000) defined the asset pricing process as a
function utility (economic factors) and non-economic (psychic) factors. Clerc and Pfister (2001) posit
that monetary policy is capable of influencing asset prices in the long run. Any change in interest rates
especially unanticipated change affects growth expectations and the rates for discounting investment
future cash flows.
The Guest Editors of this volume agreed in advance on the order listed on the title page, although equal editorial effort
should be recognized. Vadim Birstein, Robert Boyle and John Waldman convened the 1994 conference that was the source
for the original drafts of most of the manuscripts included in this collection. William Bemis put the volume in final shape;
he is also responsible for safeguarding the standards of all contributions as the editorial representative of Environmental
Biology of Fishes.

From each plot plant specimens for further herbarium identification were
collected. The entire specimen collection has been left with botanist Vu Van Can in
Hanoi. All specimens were conserved in alcohol before drying and identification.
Some specimens were identified in the field, others later in Hanoi.
