Fully updated for Xcode 4.2, Pro Core Data for iOS explains how to use the Core Data framework for iOS SDK 5 using Xcode 4.2. The book explains both how and why to use Core Data, from simple to advanced techniques. Covering common and advanced persistence patterns, this book prepares any iOS developer to store and retrieve data accurately and efficiently.
This book starts by setting a clear foundation for what Core Data is and how it works and then takes you step-by-step through how to extract the results you need from this powerful framework. You’ll learn what the components of Core Data are and how they interact, how to design your data model, how to filter your results, how to tune performance, how to migrate your data across data model versions, and many other topics around and between these that will separate your apps from the crowd.
Learn the Apple Core Data APIs from the ground up. With Core Data, you can concentrate on designing the model for your application, and use the power of Core Data to do the rest. This book will take you from Core Data fundamentals to expert configurations that you will not find anywhere else. Together we’ll walk through a fullfeatured application based on the Mac OS X Core Data API.
Step-by-step instructions carefully walk you through the most common Core Data development tasks.
Quizzes and Exercises at the end of each chapter help you test your knowledge.
Notes present interesting information related to the discussion.
Tips offer advice or show you easier ways to perform tasks.
Cautions alert you to possible problems and give you advice on how to avoid them.
I learned Core Data reading the first edition of this book. It has long been my go-to reference, but a lot has changed since the first edition hit the shelves. The coverage of iOS and iCloud is a welcome addition, and the updated chapters on versioning and threading are a must-read. Those getting started with Core Data and those already using it owe it to themselves to read this fantastic book. ➤ Kirby Turner, Chief Code Monkey, White Peak Software, Inc. If you need to know Core Data inside and out, you need this book. Marcus not only communicates what...
This collection represents the full spectrum of data-related content we’ve published on O’Reilly Radar over the last year. Mike Loukides kicked things off in June 2010 with “What is data science?” and from there we’ve pursued the various threads and themes that naturally emerged. Now, roughly a year later, we can look back over all we’ve covered and identify a number of core data areas:

Oracle Data Guard is the most effective solution available today to protect the core
asset of any enterprise—its data, and make it available on a 24x7 basis even in the
face of disasters and other calamities.
This guide describes Oracle Data Guard technology and concepts, and helps you
configure and implement standby databases.

This book provides architects and designers with a concise source of core information needed to form a frame work for the detailed planning of any building project. The objective is to save time for building designers during their basic investigations.
Subsequently, the 1996 Nepal Family Health Survey, the 2001 Nepal Demographic and Health
Survey and the 2006 Nepal Demographic and Health surveys were conducted. This trend report
discusses key findings from these three DHS surveys in Nepal. All three Nepal DHS surveys sampled
nationally representative populations, were conducted by the same organization (New ERA Ltd.), and
managed by the same core group of survey personnel.

Oracle Database seems complex on the surface. However, its extensive feature set is really built upon upon a core infrastructure resulting from sound architectural decisions made very early on that have stood the test of time. This core infrastructure manages transactions and the ability to commit and roll back changes, protects the integrity of the database, enables backup and recovery, and allows for scalability to thousands of users all accessing the same data.

As the arm of NLP technologies extends beyond a small core of languages, techniques for working with instances of language data across hundreds to thousands of languages may require revisiting and recalibrating the tried and true methods that are used. Of the NLP techniques that has been treated as “solved” is language identification (language ID) of written text. However, we argue that language ID is far from solved when one considers input spanning not dozens of languages, but rather hundreds to thousands, a number that one approaches when harvesting language data found on the Web.
Secure Dissemination of Video Data in Vehicle-to-Vehicle Systems presents about Motivation, Objectives, Related Work, Core Design (Active Bundle Concept, System Architecture, Video Recording, Face Recognition, Video Recreation), Evaluation, Pros and Cons.
(BQ) Part 1 book "Core concepts of accounting information systems" has contents: Accounting information systems and the accountant, information technology and AISs, documenting accounting information systems, data modeling, organizing and manipulating the data in databases,...and other contents.
(BQ) This C++ version retains the same pedagogical approach and general structure as the Java version so schools that teach data structures in both C++ and Java can share the same core syllabus. The unparalleled author team incorporates the object-oriented design paradigm using C++ as the implementation language, while also providing intuition and analysis of fundamental algorithms.
