The Sun to the Earth—and Beyond: A Decadal Research Strategy in

As the workshop summarized in this volume demonstrated, the research base
about learning in early childhood is expanding and has great potential to contrib-
ute to a broader set of national policy goals focused on making sure that all

The chapter on the incidence, clinical features, pathophysiology, signs, symptoms, and
current management of the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ), reviews how AS affects
this joint. TMJ is involved in 4% to 32% of cases, and ranges from mild disease to
ankylosis which is exceptional. The non-surgical treatment of TMJ in AS is the most
effective way of managing over 80% of patients. Non-pharmacological treatment
includes fabrication of intra oral splints, physiotherapy, and patient education.

I can safely state that no one truly comprehends the physiology

But challenges enhance curiosity. Regardless how far scientists’
understanding may be from the natural laws that
regulate microvessel functions, we share an incumbency
to accumulate and disseminate, by whatever means,
current new concepts based upon the latest tested investigations.
