  • The objective of study was to evaluate some of the physical and mechanical properties of medium density fiberboard (MDF) panels laminated with veneer sheets compressed at different levels of pressure and temperature. Rotary peeled veneer samples of European beech (Fagus orientalis Lipsky) were compressed at temperatures of 150 C, 180 C, and 200 C using 4 MPa and 6 MPa pressure for 8 min. Commercially produced MDF samples also were laminated with such compressed veneer sheets.

Emissions from building and furnishing materials, which are frequently constructed from particleboard and medium density fiberboard, are a potentially important contributor of indoor VOCs. In this research, VOC emissions from particleboard and MDF were measured in small stainless steel chambers for 4 days.   • The purpose of this paper is to analyse the risk-neutral density derived from prices of DAX options. We focus on observable factors that may influence changes in the moments of the RND. For this purpose, we investigate the impact of various macroeconomic and financial variables on risk-neutral densities of stock market movements. In this way, we attempt to uncover relationships between the implied volatility, skewness and kurtosis computed from the RND and the underlying fundamentals of the stock market.   • Our approach represents the furniture layout guidelines as terms in a density function and treats manual placement of pieces as subspace constraints.
