The literature was reviewed and summarized to provide common interpretations of human figure drawings. Basic guidelines for interpreting human figure drawings (i.e., face and head, body, arms and hands, and legs and feet) are presented. Expectations for students at different developmental levels (ages 1 1/2 through adolescence) are identified, and the influence of artistic talent is discussed. Two children's drawings from case studies in a school setting are interpreted.

The primary focus of this chapter in on general approaches and considerations toward development of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) methods for separation of pharmaceutical compounds, which may be applied within the various functions in the drug development continuum. It is very important to understand the aim of analysis and the requirements for a particular method to be developed. The aim of analysis of each HPLC method may vary for each developmental area in the drug development process and speciﬁc examples are given in Section 8.2.
A key task for any interdisciplinary field such as law and development is to determine what
each discipline aims to gain fromits interaction with the other. Law and development certainly
seeks to ensure that development considerations are taken into account by lawyers, and that
legal considerations are taken into account by those who study development.
The present publication builds off a 2009 FAO-ConCAP research study “Agricultural
investment funds for developing countries” (“the study”). This research for this study, which
focused primarily on Sub-Sahara Africa and transition economies, identified over 80 investment
funds working in agriculture and rural development. It then selected 31 agricultural investment
funds that primarily or exclusively focus on investing in agriculture of the developing world.
