Many types of tool materials, ranging from high carbon steel to ceramics and diamonds, are used as cutting tools in today’s metalworking industry. It is important to be aware that differences do exist among tool materials, what these differences are, and the correct application for each type of material. The various tool manufacturers assign many names and numbers to their products. While many of these names and numbers may appear to be similar, the applications of these tool materials may be entirely different.
This is the first book in a three-volume series deploying MATLAB-based applications in almost every branch of science. This volume, presents interesting topics from different areas of engineering, signal and image processing based on the MATLAB environment. The book consists of 20 excellent, insightful articles and the readers will find the results very useful to their work. This collection of high quality articles, refers to a large range of professional fields and may be used for scientific, engineering and educational purposes....

1.1 WORD PROCESSORS
A word processor is an application program that is acquired for running on a particular computer.
It enables one to type and display text on a page: retrieving, amending, adding to, and arranging in different ways before printing text is generally entered as a keyboard or scanned file.
In this demo we will present GATE, an architecture and framework for language engineering, and ANNIE, an information extraction system developed within it. We will demonstrate how ANNIE has been adapted to perform NE recognition in different languages, including Indic and Slavonic languages as well as Western European ones, and how the resources can be reused for new applications and languages.
Named Entity Extraction is a mature task in the NLP field that has yielded numerous services gaining popularity in the Semantic Web community for extracting knowledge from web documents. These services are generally organized as pipelines, using dedicated APIs and different taxonomy for extracting, classifying and disambiguating named entities. Integrating one of these services in a particular application requires to implement an appropriate driver. Furthermore, the results of these services are not comparable due to different formats.
We developed caitra, a novel tool that aids human translators by (a) making suggestions for sentence completion in an interactive machine translation setting, (b) providing alternative word and phrase translations, and (c) allowing them to postedit machine translation output. The tool uses the Moses decoder, is implemented in Ruby on Rails and C++ and delivered over the web. We are at the beginning of a research program to explore the benefits of these different types of aid to human translators, analyze user interaction behavior, and develop novel types of assistance. ...
Sometimes, the products themselves are modified and sometimes the new market impose changes that need to be made in the technical documentation of the products. This probably arises most frequently in the user manuals of software products. Different countries use different keyboards, different languages often require adaptation of the software itself and also, users in different countries have different expectations and norms which the documentation (if not the product itself) needs to reflect. ...
Quartus II is a software tool produced by Altera for analysis and synthesis of HDL designs, which enables the developer to compile their designs, perform timing analysis, examine RTL diagrams, simulate a design's reaction to different stimuli, and configure the target device with the programmer. The Web Edition is a free version of Quartus II that can be downloaded or delivered by mail for free. This edition provided compilation and programming for a limited number of Altera devices.
The gSOAP tools provide a SOAP/XML-to-C/C++ language binding to ease the development
of SOAP/XML Web services and client application in C and C++. Most toolkits for C++ Web
services adopt a SOAP-centric view and offer APIs that require the use of class libraries for SOAP-
specific data structures. This often forces a user to adapt the application logic to these libraries. In
contrast, gSOAP provides a C/C++ transparent SOAP API through the use of compiler technology
that hides irrelevant SOAP-specific details from the user.
This book is for users of Office 2010 who want to get to the heart of the program without wasting time. Don’t look in this book to find out how the different programs in the Office suite work. Look in this book to find out how you can get your work done better and faster with these programs. I show you everything you need to make the most of the different Office programs. On the way, you have a laugh or two.
The OPN System supports McKoi, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle databases. You select the database during the installation the OPN Systemô XT Server: either the embedded database (McKoi), or an external database. If you chose the embedded database, you can change to a different one by creating a new database and configuring it to be used with the OPN Systemô XT Server.
There are a couple of reasons why SQL Server, the system that comprises

The difference between a brand and branding
Most experts define what a brand is in one of two ways. The first set of defifinitions focuses on some
of the elements that make up a brand:
• “The intangible sum of a product’s attributes: its name, packaging, and price, its history, its reputation, and the way it’s advertised.”2
• “A name, sign, or symbol used to identify items or services of the seller(s) and to differentiate them from goods of competitors.
A derivative is a contract that is used to transfer risk. There are many
different underlying risks, ranging from fluctuations in energy prices to
weather risks. Most derivatives, however, are based on financial securities
such as common stocks, bonds and foreign exchange instruments.

The ANSYS program has many finite-element analysis capabilities, ranging from a simple, linear, static analysis
to a complex, nonlinear, transient dynamic analysis. The analysis guides in the ANSYS documentation
set describe specific procedures for performing analyses for different engineering disciplines.
The process for a typical ANSYS analysis involves three general tasks

The PHP ecosystem has changed dramatically in the past six years. Prior to PHP 5’s advent,
we PHP developers were primarily creating our projects on an ad-hoc basis, each project
differing from its predecessor; if we paid attention, each project improved on the previous—
but there was no guarantee. While tools and practices existed for managing code quality and
standards, they were still maturing, and not in widespread use.
you've built web pages, or developed websites using HTML over the last few
years, you will most likely have heard of jQuery—you may not have heard of
Web professionals all over the world have been trying to make the Internet a more
of HTML and CSS. jQuery's power and flexibility lie in its deceptive simplicity,
making navigating a document, selecting elements on a page, and handling events,
straightforward, while smoothing out any browser differences.
