  • Electrodeposition kinetics of Co thin film were investigated and magnetic coercivity of the deposited films were studied using potentiostatic technique and magnetic hyteresis loop measurements. Results showed that the nucleation mechanism of the electrodeposition process changed from instantaneous mode to progressive mode when potential was changed from –0.7 V to –0.8 V. The magnetic coercivity Hc increases with deposition time and the film with Hc < 15 Oe can be obtained with deposition time t < 5 s.

  • Fe-Pt materials have been widely prepared by vacuum evaporation technique. Recently, chemical and physicochemical methods have been successfully used to make Fe-Pt nanoparticles, thin films. This paper reported another physicochemical method, namely sonoelectrodeposition, to produce Fe-Pt nanoparticles. In the sonoelectrodeposition, the electrodeposition process was assisted with a sonicator. The Ti horn of the sonicator played a role as the cathode on which Fe-Pt nanoparticles were deposited.

  • Lead dioxide has been electrodeposited onto 304 stainless steel in three-solution with different compound and pH by ganvanostatic method. The X-Ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques have been used to determine morphologic structure of lead dioxide. The obtained results have shown that lead dioxide has two forms crystal and, the faradic yield of electrodeposition process lead dioxide in the acid and alkali solution is more than in the neutral solution.

  • Influences of additives saccarin, thioure and natrilaurylsulphate on the electrodeposition process of the alloy FeCoNi were investigated using polarization curves and energy disperse spectroscopy (EDS). Results show that saccarin increases the anomalous ratio of the couples Fe/Ni (TFe/Ni) and Co/Ni (TCo/Ni) while thioure influences on TFe/Ni, TCo/Ni slightly and natrilaurylsulphate decreases TFe/Ni, TCo/Ni remarkably. The results can be explained by the different adsorption processes of the additives.
