A good dictionary contains not only many entries and a lot of information concerning each one of them, but also adequate means to reveal the stored information. Information access depends crucially on the quality of the index. We will present here some ideas of how a dictionary could be enhanced to support a speaker/writer to find the word s/he is looking for. To this end we suggest to add to an existing electronic resource an index based on the notion of association.
database maintained by the National Library of Medicine1 (NLM), which incorporates around 40,000 Health Sciences papers each month. Researchers depend on these electronic resources to keep abreast of their rapidly changing field. In order to maintain and update vital indexing references such as the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) resources, the MeSH and SPECIALIST vocabularies, the NLM staff needs to review 400,000 highly-technical papers each year.
Over the course of a few short years, electronic business has advanced from a buzzword to a thriving new channel for the delivery of goods and services and the mediation of financial transactions, shaping the destiny of numerous contemporary enterprises and significantly affecting entire economies worldwide.
This book is a departure from those that have gone before it. The Resource Handbook
of Electronics is intended to provide quick access to basic information, mostly
through figures and tables. For each of the 20-plus chapters, a broad-brush overview is
given, followed in most cases by extensive tabular data. The Resource Handbook of
Electronics is intended for readerswho need specific data at their fingertips, accessible
in a convenient format
This guide presents resources on child and youth participation from Asia, Europe, North America,
Latin America, Africa, Australia and the Pacific. Most of the materials are available in electronic
form and have been included in the CD-ROM that is part of this guide. The main audiences for
this resource guide are practitioners and managers involved in promoting child and youth
participation in government, community-based organizations, child-led organizations, NGOs
and UN and donor agencies.
Other participants from key agencies were instrumental in setting up some of the practical aspects
of the workshop. This included the strategic placement of posters, display of juvenile fish in
aquaria, organisation of vehicles and accommodation and the preparation of ingredients and feed
making facilities at HAQDEC.
As far as possible, hand-outs and other workshop materials were prepared and shipped in advance
from NSW DPI Port Fisheries Centre (PSFC). NSW DPI also provided two computers and an
electronic projector for use at the workshop.
The concept of IT is understood and defined in the Government Resolution 49/CP dated 04/08/1993 signed: Information Technology is a collection of scientific methods, the means of existing techniques and tools university - mainly computer technology and telecommunications - to organize the exploitation and efficient use of resources and information rich potential in all areas of human activity and society.

century, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) is making a
powerful and dramatic comeback. Today, the most exciting growth

An updated approach to reference frame analysis of electric machines and drive systems
Since the first edition of Analysis of Electric Machinery was published, the reference frame theory that was detailed in the book has become the universally accepted approach for the analysis of both electric machines and electric drive systems. Now in its second edition, Analysis of Electric Machinery and Drive Systems presents, in one resource, the application of this theory to the analysis, simulation, and design of the complete drive system including the machine, converter, and control....
Digital electronics is one of the fundamental courses found in all electrical
engineering and most science programs. The great variety of LabVIEW
Boolean and numeric controls/indicators, together with the wealth of
programming structures and functions, make LabVIEW an excellent tool to
visualize and demonstrate many of the fundamental concepts of digital
electronics. The inherent modularity of LabVIEW is exploited in the same
way that complex digital integrated circuits are built from circuits of less
complexity, which in turn are built from fundamental gates.
