An emphasis on intuition—the authors separate and explain the principles at work on a common sense, intuitive level before launching into any specifics.
2) A unified valuation approach—net present value (NPV) is treated as the basic concept underlying corporate finance.
3) A managerial focus—the authors emphasize the role of the financial manager as decision maker, and they stress the need for managerial input and judgment.
Frame Relay has become the most widely used WAN technology in the world. Large enterprises, governments, ISPs, and small businesses use Frame Relay, primarily because of its price and flexibility.
•Moreover, Frame Relay provides greater bandwidth, reliability, and resiliency than private or leased lines.
•Frame Relay reduces network costs by using less equipment, less complexity, and an easier implementation.

A virtual private network (VPN) is a network that extends remote access to users over a shared
infrastructure. VPNs maintain the same security and management policies as a private network.
They are the most cost effective method of establishing a point-to-point connection between remote

What can’t be measured can’t be improved. Even though Supply Chain Management is the most talked about topic today, currently no tool is available to measure any manufacturing organizations’ supply chain efficiency. Unlike productivity and or quality measurement, where the parameter can be measured objectively and expressed in unit or ratio, supply chain measurement is currently more of a qualitative statement.
This paper describes how database benchmarks demonstrate the performance
of Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS and Oracle9i Database running on HP ProLiant
hardware. Combined with the compelling Total Cost of Ownership model
presented by this software and hardware combination, the paper shows why
solutions such as this are rapidly replacing proprietary RISC/Unix and Microsoft
The essential oil industry is under threat from numerous issues at present. Rising
agricultural input costs, particularly petrochemical based fertilizers and fuels are squeezing
farmers’ profit margins. Rising food prices and the increasing value of housing and industrial
land prices is creating competition for land, particularly around populated areas. Adverse
weather conditions and changing climate are creating both short and long term problems.
Poor crop yields are occurring much more regularly than before because of unusually heavy
rain, hail, floods, heat-waves and cold snaps....
For many manufacturing enterprises, assembly is an important portion of the final costs. Effectiveness
was traditionally hunted for by reducing complex schedules into unit tasks (scientific work organization)
and by enabling sequential assembly lines (vertical flow-shop). The approach leads to the highest productivity,
and it is prised for mass production. Flow-lines and fixed schedules, however, require amortisation
plans based on steady programmes on duty horizons corresponding to product volumes exceeding
some minimal threshold.

change, and decide how to take action to both reduce their contribution to
climate change and lower their energy costs. Business owners need to know
which risks from climate change are most relevant to them so that they can
To better understand the sources of outperformance, we undertake an attribution analysis
that decomposes investor returns into that from (1) the selection of Pan-European funds, (2) the
selection of country funds, (3) the selection of sector funds, and (4) the timing of country weights
implied by the selection of country funds. This analysis shows that the superior returns associated
with the macroeconomic-driven strategies arise from the last three sources of performance, and
not from choosing Pan-European funds.
Standardised, regularly available indicators to explain market developments for microfinance in
Europe do not yet exist, or refer to Eastern Europe. Thus, we will focus in this section on the
framework conditions for microfinance which are covered by the regularly updated Eurostat
indicators for poverty and social inclusion, and by data on micro-enterprises. Specific aspects of
the current crisis will be discussed later in this paper.
