Used by corporate training departments, colleges and universities worldwide, this is the most complete upstream guide available. Hyne provides an easy-to-understand explanation of complex topics with pictures, graphs and illustrations covering everything on how oil and gas is formed; how to find commercial quantities; how to drill, evaluate and complete a well; all the way through production and improved oil recovery.
In this important new book and presents the quintessential guide for gas engineers, emphasizing the practical aspects of natural gas production. Readers will learn to incorporate cutting-edge research in estimating reserves, evaluating the performance of fractured wells, processing gas, and material balance analysis; learn to evaluate future performance of gas reservoirs; learn to improve the performance of gas wells; and more.
Exploring the Human Capital Contribution to Productivity, Profitability, and the Market Evaluation of the Firm Either of these effects would imply upward bias in estimates of 1

effect of interest. To the extent that they are thought to be important, the results presented
in Table 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6 should be seen as upper bounds on the effect of Tiebout choice on
parental effectiveness sorting.
The Manual on Descriptive Analysis Testing for Sensory Evaluation was sponsored by Com-mittee E-18 on Sensory Evaluation. Descriptive analysis is a sensory method by which the attributes of a food or product are identified and quantified, using human subjects who have been specifically trained for this purpose.
The publication Approved Drug Products with Therapeutic Equivalence Evaluations (the List, commonly known as the Orange Book) identifies drug products approved on the basis of safety and effectiveness by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the Act). (For more information, see the Orange Book Preface.)
Partial evaluation technology continues to grow and mature. ACM SIGPLANsponsored
conferences and workshops have provided a forum for researchers to
share current results and directions of work. Partial evaluation techniques are
being used in commercially available compilers (for example the Chez Scheme
system). They are also being used in industrial scheduling systems (see Augustsson's
article in this volume), they have been incorporated into popular
commercial products (see Singh's article in this volume), and they are the basis
of methodologies for implementing domain-specific languages....
The chemistry of bamboo is important in determining its utilization potential.
Several studies have investigated the chemical composition of bamboo. But systematic
and thorough research on a commercially important bamboo species is needed to
determine utilization potential for the products such as medium density fiberboard
(MDF). Most of previous studies provide either only general information of several
bamboo species or focuses on only one aspect of one species.
Objective of the project: Assess of current status of tomato production in Red River delta in recent years, drawing techniques and strategy need to be improved; evaluate some imported hybrid tomato varieties that are suitable for Red River delta with good adaptation, high productivity, good disease resistance in order to contribute to diversity of tomato varieties; establish technical guidelines of production for selected varieties; build a production model of hybrid tomato in off-season with large scale in some locals of Red River delta.
We describe an unsupervised approach to multi-document sentence-extraction based summarization for the task of producing biographies. We utilize Wikipedia to automatically construct a corpus of biographical sentences and TDT4 to construct a corpus of non-biographical sentences. We build a biographical-sentence classifier from these corpora and an SVM regression model for sentence ordering from the Wikipedia corpus. We evaluate our work on the DUC2004 evaluation data and with human judges.
Pyrolysis to produce bio-oil from sewage sludge is a promising way, to not only improve the economical value, but also to reduce pollutants associated with sludge. The aim of this study was to evaluate the production of oil from primary, waste activated and digested sludges.
Chitosan with small content in the feed (0.48 - 0.75%) could be selected to prepare shrimp feed-pellet having so high water-stability that met the Standard of Vietnam Ministry of Fisheries 28-TCN 102/1997. The radiation treatment at sterilization doses (20 - 30 kGy) was evaluated as the most practical technology because irradiated chitosan with reduced content of 0.34% has capacity to be prepared feed-pellets as stable as comparable to imported products.
After reading this chapter, you will be able to: Define operations management and differentiate between operations and manufacturing; explain how operations management differs in manufacturing and service firms; describe the elements involved in planning and designing an operations system; specify some techniques managers may use to manage the logistics of transforming inputs into finished products; assess the importance of quality in operations management; evaluate a business's dilemma and propose a solution.
Acquisition in the Department of Defense (DoD) is a major undertaking in which the defense agencies and the military departments expend significant funds to procure everything from research to development, to test and evaluation, to production, to operational support, and, finally, to obsolescence. The opportunities for problems to
One of the more promising processes for the energetic transformation of waste is the anaerobic digestion of the Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste. An experimental campaign was carried out on three different samples of OFMSW from Waste Separation, one as received and two obtained after mechanical treatment: OFMSW slurry (liquid fraction) and OFMSW Waste. Anaerobic Biogasification Potential and anaerobic digestion tests were carried out, investigating the effects of inoculum and pH. The OFMSW Waste was also examined to evaluate the possibility to dispose of it in a landfill.
Marketing agroforest outputs is different from other agricultural commodities because of their diverse nature. Some products such as timber are often subject to government rules and regulations, which influence market conduct, performance and even structure.
Chapter 13 - Services: the intangible product. In this chapter you will learn: Describe how the marketing of services differs from the marketing of products, discuss the four gaps in the service gap model, examine the five service quality dimensions, explain the zone of tolerance, identify three service recovery strategies.
Indigenous peoples regard all products of the human mind and heart as interrelated
within Indigenous knowledge. They assert that all knowledge flows from the same
source: the relationships between global flux that needs to be renewed, the people’s
kinship with the spirit world. Since the ultimate source of knowledge is the
changing ecosystem itself, art and science of a specific people manifest these
relationships and can be considered as manifestations of people’s knowledge as a
whole (Battiste and Henderson, 2000: 43). ...
Saad Ibrahim has over 30 years of diversified experience in the Petroleum Industry in Western Canada and internationally, including projects in Libya, Yemen, Kazakstan, Venezuela and Argentina, with special expertise in reservoir engineering with emphasis on field development planning, evaluation of depletion strategies and production optimization of a wide spectrum of oil and gas fields.
