The Research Centre for Forest Tree Improvement (RCFTI) is a unit within the Forest
Science Institute of Vietnam (FSIV) which specialises in tree improvement research and
delivery of genetically improved seed and planting stock to meet the planting requirements of
the Government of Vietnam (GoV) as well as community and private sector plantation
programs. RCFTI carries out an active program of research at stations throughout Vietnam,
with its principal research station at Ba Vi.

The science of forestry is a complex amalgamation
of the biological, physical, managerial, social, and
political sciences. Few, if any, forestry professionals
are able to treat all aspects of forest science with
complete authority. An edited book on forestry is
thus the best method for conveying the science of
forestry in one text.

Remote sensing has been defined as the detection, recognition, or evaluation of
objects by means of distant sensing or recording devices. In recent decades, remote
sensing technology has emerged to support data collection and analysis methods of
potential interest and importance in forest management. Historically, digital remote
sensing developed quickly from the technology of aerial photography and photointerpretation
science. In forestry, information extracted visually from aerial photographs
is well-understood, well-used, and integrated with field surveys.
Forest Gardening (forest gardening) is considered a form of agriculture oldest in the world. This began in prehistoric times by the river services in the forest in the foothills and humid in tropical monsoon. In the course of a family slowly improving their habitats, species and plant grapes helpful gradually been identified, and improved protection against unwanted species are discarded. Even exotic species were selected and cultivated in their gardens.
Forest ecosystems cover large parts of the terrestrial land surface and are major
components of the terrestrial carbon (C) cycle. Most important, forest ecosystems
accumulate organic compounds with long C residence times in vegetation, detritus
and, in particular, the soil by the process of C sequestration. Trees, the major components
of forests, absorb large amounts of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) by
photosynthesis, and forests return an almost equal amount to the atmosphere by
auto- and heterotrophic respiration.
The uniform spanning forest (USF) in Zd is the weak limit of random, uniformly chosen, spanning trees in [−n, n]d . Pemantle proved that the USF consists a.s. of a single tree if and only if d ≤ 4. We prove that any two components of the USF in Zd are adjacent a.s. if 5 ≤ d ≤ 8, but not if d ≥ 9. More generally, let N (x, y) be the minimum number of edges outside the USF in a path joining x and y in Zd . Then max N (x, y) : x, y ∈ Zd = (d − 1)/4 a.s.
