In this paper we present Morphy, an integrated tool for German morphology, part-ofspeech tagging and context-sensitive lemmatization. Its large lexicon of more than 320,000 word forms plus its ability to process German compound nouns guarantee a wide morphological coverage. Syntactic ambiguities can be resolved with a standard statistical part-of-speech tagger. By using the output of the tagger, the lemmatizer can determine the correct root even for ambiguous word forms. The complete package is freely available and can be downloaded from the World Wide Web. ...

Our previous tutorial discussed the basics of XML
and demonstrated its potential to revolutionize the
Web. In this tutorial, we’ll discuss how to use an
XML parser to:
• Process an XML document
• Create an XML document
• Manipulate an XML document
We’ll also talk about some useful, lesser-known
features of XML parsers. Best of all, every tool
discussed here is freely available at IBM’s
alphaWorks site (www.alphaworks.ibm.com) and
other places on the Web.
Crack is a freely available program designed to find standard Unix DES-encrypted passwords by
standard guessing techniques. It is written to be flexible, configurable and fast, and to be able to
make use of several networked hosts via the Berkeley rsh program (or similar), where possible.
This program checks your users' passwords for "guessable" values. It works by encrypting a list of
likely passwords and seeing if the result matches any of your user's encrypted passwords (which
must be provided to it). It is surprisingly effective and easy to use....

This document is a guide to the essential ideas of audio mixing, targeted specifically at computer-based producers. I am writing it because I haven’t been able to find anything similar freely available on the Internet. The Internet has an incredible wealth of information on this subject, but it is scattered across a disorganized body of articles and tutorials of varying quality and reliability. My aim is to consolidate all of the most important information in one place, all of it verified and fact-checked.
A note on the use of these ppt slides:
We’re making these slides freely available to all (faculty, students, readers). They’re in PowerPoint form so you can add, modify, and delete slides (including this one) and slide content to suit your needs. They obviously represent a lot of work on our part. In return for use, we only ask the following:
If you use these slides (e.g., in a class) in substantially unaltered form, that you mention their source (after all, we’d like people to use our book!)
If you post any slides in substantially unaltered form on a www...

Virtualization is one of those buzz words that has been gaining immense popularity
with IT professionals and executives alike. Promising to reduce the ever-growing
infrastructure inside current data center implementations, virtualization technologies
have cropped up from dozens of software and hardware companies. But what exactly
is it? Is it right for everyone? And how can it benefit your organization?
Virtualization has actually been around more than three decades.
Welcome to the world of 3D! The fact that you are reading this book means that there is a good
chance you are interested in 3D animation. You have heard that Blender is a freely available
program capable of making such animations, so now you want to know how to use it, and fast!
But then, it’s dangerous for me to guess this scenario.
In Two Bits, Christopher M. Kelty investigates the history and cultural significance of Free Software, revealing the people and practices that have transformed not only software but also music, film, science, and education. With the popularity of Java language, JDBC is now perhaps the most commonly used API to access databases. Oracle is one of the premium databases of the world. This book is about accessing and manipulating data in Oracle using JDBC, with a focus on performance and scalability. Why another book on JDBC and Oracle, you may ask? I wrote this book because I realized that most of the other JDBC books available today more or less regurgitate the JDBC specification and the Oracle JDBC documentation that is freely available on the Internet. This book is different. The central aim of...

Foreword For people who advocate and recognise the latent healing power of nature like my esteemed friend and fellow practitioner, Shri H.K. Bakhru, naturopathy is a way of life. It is a distinct philosophy and science which strengthens the age-old faith in the correction of bodily disorders and restoration and main- tenance of health through elements freely available in nature. It brings home the basic fact that healing is brought about by the inherent curative powers of the body. The simplicity of this method should not deter individuals from its use.
