  • Negative plates for lead–acid batteries containing lignin expander UP-414 with various phenolic group contents have been investigated. The members of the family of lignins UP-414 are produced by Borregaard LignoTech, Norway and differ mainly by the amount of phenolic groups and less so by the carboxylic groups in their structure, the content of all other functional groups (methoxyl, ketonic, etc.) being the same for all UP-414 products.

  • This bonus reference describes the functions and statements that are supported by Visual Basic .NET, grouped by category. When you’re searching for the statement to open a file, you probably want to locate all file I/O commands in one place. This is exactly how this reference is organized. Moreover, by grouping all related functions and statements in one place, I can present examples that combine more than one function or statement.

  • In the study of the theory of irreducible unitary representations, is necessary to analyze and demonstrate diverse results on integral orbital of functions belonging to the cohomology Hi (g, K; V  V*), and that it is wanted they belong to the L2(G)-cohomology of their reducible unitary representations called discrete series. Then is necessary consider the Frèchet space I(G), and analyze the 2-integrability to the fibers of the space G/K, in spaces or locally compact components of G/K.

  • In another recent study by our group (Gürlek et al. 2009) similar salivary ICTP levels were detected in smoker, non-smoker and ex-smoker patient groups with similar clinical periodontal findings. Smoking status was confirmed by salivary cotinine analysis but there was no clinically healthy control group in that study and the number of teeth present, average probing depths and attachment levels were all similar in the three study groups. There were no significant differences in saliva ICTP concentrations between the smoker and non-smoker patient groups.

  • A compound consisting of an alkyl group and the functional group -OH is an alcohol. The identity of an individual alcohol depends on the identity of R, the alkyl group. For example, when R is the methyl group, we have CH30H. This is methyl alcohol or methanol, also known as wood alcohol. It is highly toxic and can cause blindness or even death in relatively small doses. When R is the ethyl group, we have CH3CH20H. This is ethyl alcohol or ethanol. Ethanol is the alcohol in alcoholic beverages. When R is the isopropyl group, we have (CH3)2CHOH. This is isopropyl alcohol.
