An electromagnetic disturbance can be electromagnetic noise, an unwanted signal or a change in the
propagation medium itself.
Since 1970, optical fiber and optical communication technologies have been rapidly
developing, causing a technology revolution in the communication industries. Due
to much lower attenuation and interference, optical fiber has many advantages over
existing copper wire in long-distance and high-demand applications. The revolution
in communication industries also significantly reduces the prices of optical
components and stimulates the development of optical fiber sensors.
The book includes 17 chapters written by noted scientists and young researchers and dealing with various aspects of superconductivity, both theoretical and experimental. The authors tried to demonstrate their original vision and give an insight into the examined problems. A balance between theory and experiment was preserved at least from the formal viewpoint (9 and 8, respectively). The readers should be warned that many of the problems studied here are far from being solved and are treated on the basis of competing viewpoints.
This paper presents a new design method for all-optical NAND and AND logic gates based on 3x3 general interference multimode interference (GI MMI) coupler. The whole device is realized on the silicon on insulator (SOI) platform. The transfer matrix method (TMM) and three dimensional beam propagation method (3D-BPM) are used to optimally design these devices. This publication gives you general guidelines for installing an Allen-Bradley industrial automation system that may include programmable controllers, industrial computers, operator-interface terminals, display devices, and communication networks. While these guidelines apply to the majority of installations, certain electrically harsh environments may require additional precautions. Use these guidelines as a tool for helping avoid potential electromagnetic interference (emi) and transient emi that could cause problems such as “adapter faults, rack faults, communication faults,” etc.
