Forensic Engineering Investigation is a compendium of the investigative methodologies used by engineers and scientific investigators to evaluate some of the more common types of failures and catastrophic events. In essence, the book provides analyses and methods for determining how an entity was damaged and when that damage may have legal consequences. The material covers 21 common types of failures, catastrophic events, and losses that forensic engineers routinely assess.
In this paper we propose a methodology for investigating the relationship between architectures of natural language generation (NLG) systems and stylistic properties of texts. Biber's (1988) methodology is used to obtain both the characterisation of style of our corpus and the division of the corpus into sets of linguistically similar texts. These sets will be used for studying the architectural aspects.

Early interest in selenium by nutritionists concerned its high concentration in
certain range plants and the consequent toxicosis in animals that grazed those plants.
More recently, the essential nature of selenium has become the center of attention, and
this element is now known to be required by laboratory animals, food animals (including
fish), and humans. Its role as an integral feature of glutathione peroxidase has been
established, and other possible functions are under active investigation.

A suite of emerging techniques, known collectively as “molecular imaging,” now

Drug abuse in the developed world is an international problem. In the USA, in an
effort to deter drug use and identify abusers so they may receive treatment, testing
an individual’s urine has become a large commercial enterprise. Drug testing has also
been a traditional part of clinical care in medicine and in the medicolegal investigation
of death. While scientists conducting drug testing in the postmortem arena routinely
analyze a variety of biological matrices, the specimen of choice in the drug testing
industry in the USA is urine and in clinical medicine, serum.
Based on GCOSM, the objective of the paper is to propose an approach to investigating optimal pavement preservation strategies (OPPSs) for road networks in a systematic manner. In the following sections, the methodological procedure for investigating OPPSs of road networks is first presented, which is followed by a case study demonstrating the applicability of the proposed procedure.
