THIS IS A REPORT ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS—how to understand them and how to
nurture them. What relationships? The relationships among the producers
of materials and the users of materials. These relationships are depicted
visually in Figure ES-1.
This is also a report about processes. What processes? The processes of
innovation—from the generation of knowledge through development and
application to the ultimate integration of a material into a useful product.
Polyurethane [PU] is a class of polymers built up of carabamate linkages, which
provide special characteristics to the material. It is the outcome of pioneering research
work of Otto Bayer and his coworkers in 1937 at I.G. Farben laboratories, in
Leverkusen, Germany. Initial PU consisted of foams and fibres, while today,
innovations and researches in the past decades have brought colossal changes in the
world of PU.
This report investigates the income and equity effects of macroeconomic policy reforms in Zimbabwe, emphasizing linkages between macroeconomic policies and agricultural performance and agriculture's influence on aggregate income and its distribution.Analyses focus on reform of the foreign trade regime, public expenditure, and tax policy, along with the potential benefits of combining these structural changes with various land reform scenarios.
At publication, the database lists 22 studies linking pesticides to
reproductive health effects. These include decreased fertility in
both males and females, antiandrogenic (demasculinizing) effects,
increased rates of miscarriage, altered sex ratios and altered
maturity. A 2006 study published in the journal Epidemiology
has found inverse associations between pesticides and male
