Children and adolescents with good mental health are able to achieve and maintain
optimal psychological and social functioning and well-being. They have a sense of
identity and self-worth, sound family and peer relationships, an ability to be productive
and to learn, and a capacity to tackle developmental challenges and use cultural
resources to maximize growth. Moreover, the good mental health of children and
adolescents is crucial for their active social and economic participation.
Writings on hygiene and health have been accessible for centuries, but never before have books and
magazines on these subjects been as numerous as they are today. Most of the information is so general, vague
and indefinite that only a few have the time and patience to read the thousands of pages necessary to learn
what to do to keep well. The truth is to be found in the archives of medicine, in writings covering a period of
over thirty centuries, but it is rather difficult to find the grains of truth.
Health is the most valuable of all possessions, for with health one can...

The approach taken to maximize concurrency and im-
prove performance is to restrict the use of the PBFT pro-
tocol to only the operations that need to be totally or-
dered among each other. Other operations can execute
speculatively in a single replica (that may be faulty and
provide incorrect replies) and we delay validating these
replies until commit time.

While structuring financing packages for vital projects is among the most impor-
tant roles the federal government plays in infrastructure investment, its activities
extend well beyond this role and into research, issuing regulations, awarding
grants, environmental protection, and even directly operating and maintaining
locks, dams, bridges, and utilities throughout our country. To coordinate all of
these activities and maximize the efficiency of federal infrastructure programs, we
need a national infrastructure planning council.
The Department of Transportation, for example, does not fully consider how
increased investment in passenger or freight railways might alleviate the need for
additional road and highway expenditures, and does not coordinate the landside
port improvements it funds with Army Corps of Engineers waterside invest-

Frog p26olf is a novel S100-like Ca21-binding protein found in olfactory cilia. It consists of two S100-like domains aligned sequentially, and has a total of four Ca21-binding sites (known as EF-hands). In this study, to elucidate the mechanism of Ca21-binding to each EF-hand (named EF-A, -B, -C and -D from the N-terminus of p26olf), we examined Ca21-binding in wild-type p26olf and also in its mutants in which a glutamate at the –z coordinate position within each Ca21-binding loop was substituted for a glutamine.
