"The book is designed for the students of the senior courses of the Univer-sity faculties of foreign languages and Teachers´´ Training Colleges. The aim of the book is therefore to lead the students to a scientific understanding of new assumptions and views of language as system, keeping abreast of the latest findings set forth in the progressive development of grammatical theory by Soviet and foreign scholars in recent times."
This book is a sequel to Modern Banking in Theory and Practice published by John Wiley &
Sons in 1996. It is a sequel rather than a second edition, because it does substantially more
than merely update the 1996 text. In fact, this book has taken much longer to write than
the 1996 book! In the eight years sinceModern Banking in Theory and Practice was published,
many aspects of banking have changed considerably, though the key characteristics that
distinguish banks from other financial institutions have not.

The theory of evolution has been around for some 150 years, and has deeply influenced people's
views of the world. The theory maintains that life came about by chance, by itself, and through natural conditions.
However, evolution is not supported by any scientific evidence. It is a dogma that materialist scientists and philosophers are trying to impose on society under a scientific mask.
From one of the most influential economists of the modern era, Keynes and his "General Theory" shaped economic thought and government policies for decades to come. Out of this magnum opus arose the Keynesian school of economics. Keynes argues that the level of employment in a modern economy was determined by three factors: the marginal propensity to consume (income that people chose to spend on goods and services), the marginal efficiency of capital (the rate used to see whether investments are worthy) and the rate of interest.

"This book is clearly written and presents a large number of examples illustrating the theory . . . there is no other book of comparable content available. Because of its detailed coverage of applications generally neglected in the literature, it is a desirable if not essential addition to undergraduate mathematics and computer science libraries.
Herbert Marcuse’s Negations is both a radical critique of capitalist modernity and a model of materialist dialectical thinking. In a series of essays, originally written in the period stretching from the 1930s to 1960s, Marcuse takes up the presupposed categories that have, and continue to, ground thought and action in our

This book is based on a short graduate course given by one of us
(M.G) at New York University and at Bar-Ilan University, Israel.
The decision to publish these lectures as a book was made, after
some doubts, for the following reason. The theory of phase transitions,
with excellent agreement between theory and experiment, was
developed some forty years ago culminating in Wilson’s Nobel prize
and the Wolf prize awarded to Kadanoff, Fisher and Wilson.
David Romer’s Advanced Macroeconomics, 4e, continues its tradition as the standard text and the starting point for graduate macroeconomic courses and helps lay the groundwork for students to begin doing research in macroeconomics and monetary economics. Formal models are used to present and analyze key ideas and issues. The theoretical analysis is supplemented by examples of relevant empirical work, illustrating the ways that theories can be applied and tested. This well-respected and well-known text is unique in the marketplace....
During the emergence of sociology as an academic discipline the questions
about the origins, status and functions of constitutions were widely
posed. Indeed, for both thematic and methodological reasons, the analysis
of constitutions was a central aspect of early sociology. Sociology
developed, however ambiguously, as a critical intellectual response to the
theories and achievements of the Enlightenment in the eighteenth
century, the political dimension of which was centrally focused on the
theory and practice of constitutional rule....
This book aims to explain the basics of graph theory that are needed at an introductory level for students in computer or information sciences. To motivate students and to show that even these basic notions can be extremely useful, the book also aims to provide an introduction to the modern field of network science. Mathematics is often unnecessarily difficult for students, at times even intimidating.
"Chapter 6: International Trade and Investment Theory" understand the motivation for international trade, summarize and discuss the differences among the classical country-based theories of international trade, use the modern firm-based theories of international trade to describe global strategies adopted by businesses.
(BQ) The history of British political thought has been one of the most fertile fields of Anglo-American historical writing in the last half-century. David Armitage brings together an interdisciplinary and international team of authors to consider the impact of this scholarship on the study of early modern British history, English literature, and political theory. Ebook "British Political Thought Printing History, Literature and Theory, 1500-1800" is divided into 2 parts.
We wrote this book to share with other ecologists what we have learned about the structure and
use of theory and its relationship to the myriad activities that constitute modern science. Our
own quest was motivated by the sometimes unclear way in which the term “theory” is used in
both scientifi c publications and informal discussions. We needed to fi nd out what theory was
and how it was built. We also wanted to evaluate the varied and often contradictory claims made
about what constitutes proper scientifi c practice.
(BQ) The author introduced an alternative traffic flow theory called three-phase traffic theory, which can predict and explain the empirical spatiotemporal features of traffic breakdown and the resulting traffic congestion.
