We have analyzed 607 sentences of spontaneous human-computer speech data containing repairs, drawn from a total corpus of 10,718 sentences. We present here criteria and techniques for automatically detecting the presence of a repair, its location, and making the appropriate correction. The criteria involve integration of knowledge from several sources: pattern matching, syntactic and semantic analysis, and acoustics. INTRODUCTION Spontaneous spoken language often includes speech that is not intended by the speaker to be part of the content of the utterance. ...
We describe a word alignment platform which ensures text pre-processing (tokenization, POS-tagging, lemmatization, chunking, sentence alignment) as required by an accurate word alignment. The platform combines two different methods, producing distinct alignments. The basic word aligners are described in some details and are individually evaluated. The union of the individual alignments is subject to a filtering postprocessing phase. Two different filtering methods are also presented. The evaluation shows that the combined word alignment contains 10.
The Web contains vast amounts of linguistic data. One key issue for linguists and language technologists is how to access it. Commercial search engines give highly compromised access. An alternative is to crawl the Web ourselves, which also allows us to remove duplicates and nearduplicates, navigational material, and a range of other kinds of non-linguistic matter. We can also tokenize, lemmatise and part-of-speech tag the corpus, and load the data into a corpus query tool which supports sophisticated linguistic queries.
(B) Echocardiography is an essential tool for the modern–day cardiologist and routinely used in the diagnosis, management and follow–up of patients with suspected or known heart diseases. Containing 500 case–based questions, including clear explanations and discussions for every question.
(BQ) This book contains 270 multiple-choice questions allowing self-assessment of the breadth of knowledge required of the modern intensivist. The MTF questions test factual knowledge and understanding of the evidence base underpinning intensive care medicine, while the SBA questions test the ability of the candidate to prioritise, compete options and make the best decision for the patient.

Flowing text across multiple containers
The last example of the chapter is the most advanced and demonstrates one of TLF’s most powerful features: the ability to flow text across multiple containers. This is called linked text, or threaded text, because the text is not broken apart when populating more than one text field. Instead, it flows through linked text fields, threading its way through your layout. This is further demonstrated with selectable linked text and the ability to scroll within a field while selecting text—just like you can in a text editor.
Excel 2007 is a powerful spreadsheet application that allows users to produce tables containing calculations and graphs. These can range from simple formulae through to complex functions and mathematical models.
How To Use This Guide
This manual should be used as a point of reference following attendance of the introductory level Excel 2007 training course. It covers all the topics taught and aims to act as a support aid for any tasks carried out by the user after the course.
The manual is divided into sections, each section covering an aspect of the introductory course.
This book represents recent progress and development of the photodiodes including the fundamental reviews and the specific applications developed by the authors themselves. The key idea of this book is that it allows authors to deal with a wide range of backgrounds and research progresses in photodiode-related areas. With respect to the original collection of the book chapters, this book contains several improvements and new problems and related solutions are also discussed in the areas from fundamental physics and design to device and circuit applications....
This category features the broadest application of the use of credit ratings. Member
authorities from every jurisdiction submitting responses indicated that their LRSPs contained
provisions using credit ratings for the purpose of determining net or regulatory capital, and
more LRSPs are applied to capital requirements than to any other category of use. Credit
ratings were generally used in those LRSPs as a means of mapping credit risks to capital
charges or risk weights.

In the beginning of the course in April, I carried out my listening instruction by
teaching vocabulary and grammar with repeated CD listening, focusing on listening to key-
words. Then, after an actual TOEFL ITP test was conducted inside the school in June, my
students’ negative reaction against the test led me to attempt new strategies applying
conversational analysis to the study of TOEFL listening. A post-examination survey filled out
after the actual TOEFL showed that students were overwhelmed by the difficulty and time
length of the test.
The third section of the book reviews some of the major challenges in
health systems. These include health resources, technology and management of
medical devices. The role of private business in public health is also explored. The
final section contains a variety of issues related to global health. This includes the rise
of NCDs in low and middle income countries, neglected diseases related to poverty
and health and longevity medicine. A chapter of alcoholism and mortality examines
the effects of a public health system breakdown.
Weyl group multiple Dirichlet series were associated with a root system Φ and a number field F containing the n-th roots of unity by Brubaker, Bump, Chinta, Friedberg and Hoffstein and Brubaker, Bump and Friedberg provided n is sufficiently large; their coefficients involve n-th order Gauss sums. The case where n is small is harder, and is addressed in this paper when Φ = Ar . “Twisted” Dirichet series are considered, which contain the series of as a special case.
Lipases (triacylglycerol acylhydrolases, E.C. 18.104.22.168) are ubiquitous enzymes of consid-
erable physiological significance and industrial potential. Lipases catalyze the hydrolysis of
triacylglycerols to glycerol and free fatty acids. In contrast to esterases, lipases are activated
only when adsorbed to an oil–water interface (Martinelle et al., 1995) and do not hydrolyze
dissolved substrates in the bulk fluid. A true lipase will split emulsified esters of glycerine
and long-chain fatty acids such as triolein and tripalmitin. Lipases are serine hydrolases.
A high number of pesticides is used in Colombia primarily in categories I and II
toxicological categories, and by chemical group the OF and C. This information is confirmed
by other studies conducted in Colombia (Varona et al, 2007, 2009), (SIVIGILA, 2010), thus
increasing the chances of triggering effects on health. Among the clinical manifestations
reported by laborers, most of them are related to neurological and sensory organs disorders.

This involves the performance of research activities such as (1) developing plans for, and
promoting the construction of proper kinds of marketing and storage facilities for all
kinds of farm and food products at specific localities at various stages in the marketing
channels; determining the type, size, location, design, cost and method of financing and
operation best suited for the specific locations, and the financial soundness of the
proposed facilities; (2) determining the adequacy and efficiency of different shipping
methods and types of shipping containers, various types of e...
The Current State of the Industry also contains three special features: the fi rst analyses the impact
of government funding on fuel cell adoption, focusing on the success of fuel cell projects funded
under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009; the second looks at the interest in
fuel cells to power data centres; and the third special feature assesses the attitude of the current
US Government to fuel cells and transport.
Each stage in the life cycle of coal—extraction, transport, processing, and combustion—generates a waste stream
and carries multiple hazards for health and the environment. These costs are external to the coal industry and are
thus often considered “externalities.”We estimate that the life cycle effects of coal and the waste streamgenerated are
costing the U.S. public a third to over one-half of a trillion dollars annually. Many of these so-called externalities are,
