The Entry test is an optional test which covers some of the key Grammar and Vocabulary points from New English File Pre-intermediate. If you feel your class are at quite a low level, look out for the Extra support ideas in the Teacher's Book. If they are stronger, look out for the Extra challenge ideas.
Pronunciation is given a great deal of importance in New English File Intermediate and every lesson has a pronunciation focus which tiften prepares students for a speaking activity. OStudent's Book p.10.

The Practical Engjish lessons are also on the New English File Pre-intermediate Video which teachers can use with the Student's Book exercises instead of the class audio. The video will provide a change of focus and give the lessons a clear visual context.
