NBN Co’s announced intention is to lodge a Special Access Undertaking (SAU) for approval by the
Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). NBN Co’s proposed approach to the SAU
is further detailed in Section 8.10, Special Access Undertaking with the ACCC, below.
NBN Co has previously indicated its view that the SAU could be finalised and lodged with the ACCC
once key policy matters such as the number and location of PoIs and the approach to uniform
national wholesale pricing were finalised.
In this paper, we present REED, a system for Robust and
Efficient Event Detection in sensor networks that addresses
this limitation, enabling the deployment of sensor networks
for the types of applications described above. REED is
based on TinyDB, but extends it with the ability to support
joins between sensor data and static tables built outside the
sensor network. This allows users to express queries that
include complex time and location varying predicates over
any number of conditions using join predicates over these
The classical therapeutic approach to patients with
differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) is based on total or
near-total thyroidectomy, followed by 131I treatment and
thyroid-stimulating hormone suppressive therapy. This
approach allows complete cure in many patients, especially
when the tumour is diagnosed at an early stage; it also
allows long-term survival in patients with locoregional
recurrences or distant metastases if they can be treated
With SMS, several modes are possible for addressing message recipients. The most common
addressing mode consists of using the Mobile Station ISDN Number (MSISDN) in the
[ITU-E.164] format (e.g., þ33612345678). However, other less commonly used addressing
modes are available such as Email addressing, as defined by the IETF in [RFC-2822], or
operator specific numbering schemes (short codes for instance).
An optional addressing feature of SMS consists of conveying sub-addressing information
as part of a message.

personnel in the rating or skill area.
The number of different applications for RFID systems is increasing each year and various research directions have been developed to improve the performance of these systems. With this book InTech continues a series of publications dedicated to the latest research results in the RFID field, supporting the further development of RFID. One of the best ways of documenting within the domain of RFID technology is to analyze and learn from those who have trodden the RFID path.
Probiotics may exert a multidirectional effects
affecting the gene expression in intestinal cells. A number of positive effects of
probiotics have been indicated, particularly their beneficial effect in the pathologic
conditions including antibiotic-associated traveler's diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome
(IBS), lactose intolerance, dental caries, gastroduodenal ulcers due to Helicobacter
pylori, hepatic encephalopathy, intestinal motility disorders and neonatal necrotizing
Most Cambodian elders have both living sons and daughters. Reflecting the higher mortality of males,
including losses due to political violence associated with the Khmer Rouge period and its aftermath, the
average number of surviving daughters modestly exceeds that of surviving sons. Some differences in the
number of living children are evident according to sex, location and age of elders. Elderly men average
larger numbers of surviving children than elderly women, reflecting the fact that men are far more likely
to remarry than women in cases of marital dissolution.
This paper focuses primarily on analysis of the quantitative aspects of the research,
although this form of data collection was complemented by a series of consumer
The data was gathered using a postal and web-based questionnaire
that contained identical items. Although each sample was analysed individually, in
this paper these datasets have been combined and any notable differences highlighted
Reliable and cost-effective monitoring will be an
important part of making GS a safe, effective, and
acceptable method for CO2 control. Monitoring will
be required as part of the permitting process for
underground injection and will be used for a number
of purposes, such as tracking the location of the plume
of injected CO2, ensuring that injection and abandoned
wells are not leaking, and verifying the quantity of
CO2 that has been injected underground.
The Study Team will select a set of ecosystem services that will be affected by watershed management,
aquatic ecosystem, and water quality restoration. The model system will be used to simulate the effects of
management measures on the production of ecosystem services. Rules for the spatial effects by number,
geographic location, and area (as appropriate) of application of management measures on the production of
ecosystem services will be developed.
OLTP transaction workloads require quick access and updates to a small set of records. This work is typically performed in
a localized area on disk, with one or a small number of parallel units. Shared-everything architectures, in which processors
share a single large disk and memory, are well suited to OLTP workloads. Shared-disk architectures, such as Oracle RAC,
can also be effective for OLTP because each server can take a subset of the queries and process them independently while
ensuring consistency through the shared-disk subsystem.
The network administrator simply logged into the Locate web console and looked up the
IP addresses of the infected workstations. He was presented with the name, location, and
phone number of the infected users. He was then able to immediately call each of the
users, notify them of the situation, and disable their switch port. Appropriate steps were
taken within minutes to fix the problem before other workstations were infected. The pro-
cess to identify and locate all 100 users took less than 10 minutes....
The U.S. food and agricultural sector is undergoing rapid change in
production, distribution, and consumption of food and fiber, and in technology.
There have been dramatic increases in production and marketing coordination,
market contracting, concentration of agricultural output by fewer and fewer
operations, and consolidation of agricultural operations. These increases are
manifested in significant long- and short-term changes in farm size, number,
distribution, and location.
Previous World’s Worst Pollution reports have ranked pollution sources by the potential number of people
at risk (2010) and created disease burden estimates for location-specific case studies (2011). This year’s
report is the first attempt at creating a widespread estimate of disease burden attributable to toxic pollution
from industrial sources. Previous estimates from these reports indicated that the at-risk population was in
the range of 100 million people.
The security administrator logged into the Locate web console and input the IP address
and dates from the IDS log. Locate looked up the historical information for the time period
in question. He was immediately presented with the name, location, and phone number
of the user who was using the workstation to log into the mainframe. Within seconds the
security administrator had the information he needed to make his report.
The Locate Solution
The security administrator logged into the Locate web console and input the IP address

Plain x-ray plays a limited role in the evaluation of blunt abdominal trauma. Abdominal
radiographs are usually unnecessary. X-rays of the chest and pelvis are often obtained to
evaluate for concurrent thoracic or pelvic injuries. Abnormal chest x-ray findings of
pneumothorax and rib fractures are associated with intraabdominal injuries and are
indications for abdominal imaging if a mechanism for multisystem trauma is present.
Common findings include free abdominal air (pneumoperitoneum), pneumothorax, and
This work evaluates a set of global forward support location (FSL) options for storing war reserve materiel (WRM). These option packages or “portfolios” have differing numbers and types of FSLs, e.g., land-based or afloat, and have differing allocations of WRM at the alternative sites. Evaluations of these packages address the effectiveness and efficiency of the options in meeting a wide variety of potential scenarios. In this monograph, we present capability-based analytic tools to evaluate the tradeoffs between various FSL options. A central element of our anal...
A number of results in the study of realtime sentence comprehension have been explained by computational models as resulting from the rational use of probabilistic linguistic information. Many times, these hypotheses have been tested in reading by linking predictions about relative word difficulty to word-aggregated eye tracking measures such as go-past time. In this paper, we extend these results by asking to what extent reading is well-modeled as rational behavior at a finer level of analysis, predicting not aggregate measures, but the duration and location of each fixation. ...
In this paper we discuss an algorithm for the assignment of pitch accent positions in text-to-speech conversion. The algorithm is closely modeled on current linoulstic accounts of accent placement, and assumes a surface syntactic analysis of the input. It comprises a small number of heuristic rules for determining which phrases of a sentence are to be focussed upon; the exact location of a pitch accent within a focussed phrase is determined m~inly on the basis of the syntactic relations holding b e t w e e n the e l e m e n t s of the phrase....
