This book reports the latest development and trends in the low Re number
aerodynamics, transition from laminar to turbulence, unsteady low Reynolds number
flows, experimental studies, numerical transition modelling, control of low Re number
flows, and MAV wing aerodynamics. This book focuses particularly on: (1) a review
and brief information study on low Reynolds number flows and transition as an
introduction to low Re number aerodynamics (Chapter 1), (2) transition modelling
(Chapters 2-4), flow control (Chapters 5-7).
In our recent book, Free Cash Flow and Shareholder Yield: New Priorities
for the Global Investor (John Wiley & Sons, 2007), we offered a comprehensive
introduction to the opportunities and challenges inherent in today’s
equity markets. By looking beyond the many obfuscations of traditional

The analysis of blood, bone marrow and tissue fluid specimens requires a multi–faceted approach with the integration of scientific data from a number of disciplines. No single discipline can operate in isolation or errors will occur. Flow cytometry is in a privileged position in that it can provide rapid analysis of specimens and it is often the first definitive investigation to produce results and help formulate a working diagnosis.
The 1980s and 1990s have been critical periods for Thailand’s development. After an initial period of instability in the early 1980s, Thailand’s economy expanded at an average pace of 9 percent p.a. during 1987–96, while the number of households below the poverty line dropped from 32.6 percent in 1988 to 16.3 percent in 1996.

Soil mechanics involves a combination of engineering mechanics
and the properties of soils. This description is broad
and can encompass a wide range of soil types. These soils
could either be saturated with water or have other fluids in
the voids (e.g., air). The development of classical soil mechanics
has led to an emphasis on particular types of soils.
The common soil types are saturated sands, silts and clays,
and dry sands. These materials have been the emphasis in
soil mechanics textbooks.
Fractures are ubiquitous in the brittle lithosphere in the upper part of earth’s crust.
They play a critical role in the transport of fluids. Moreover, all major discovered
geothermal reservoirs and a considerable number of petroleum reservoirs are in fractured
rocks. This restates the importance of studying multiphase flow behavior inside the
opened fracture space.
From the engineering point of view, a rock fracture as defined here is simply a
complex-shaped cavity filled with fluids or solid minerals. Therefore it is understood to

In 2001 I was contacted by a consortium of research institutions and wind energy
interests with a request to provide some background information on the operational
characteristics of acoustic radars or SODARs. The consortium partners had set
up and been funded for an European EU project to evaluate SODARs as a tool in
monitoring wind flows at wind turbine sites. They felt reasonably confident in their
knowledge of SODARs and had purchased some instruments, but wanted to be able
