You don't have to know every single tool or itern in Photoshop to become a good designer. Of course, the more you know the better, but the most important is your creativity. It's all about playing with colors, layout, objects, ect...
Probably you have at some time or another opened a web page only to find illegible text and meaningless characters. This is a problem connected to character encoding. Let’s try to understand the causes of this problem…
Remarkable advances in medical diagnostic imaging have been made during the past
few decades. The development of new imaging techniques and continuous
improvements in the display of digital images have opened new horizons in the study
of brain anatomy and pathology. The field of brain imaging has now become a fast-
moving, demanding, and exciting multidisciplinary activity. I hope that this textbook
will be useful to students and clinicians in the field of neuroscience, in understanding
the fundamentals of advances in brain imaging.
Descriptive mark-up consists of codes that describe the logical structure and semantics of a document, usually in a way which can be interpreted by many different software applications. The two main open standards for descriptive mark-up are SGML (Standard Generalized Markup Language), published as a Standard by the International Standards Organization (ISO) in 1986, and XML (Extensible Markup Language), which was published as a Recommendation of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in 1998.
Learn how to build your own computer vision (CV) applications quickly and easily with SimpleCV, an open source framework written in Python. Through examples of real-world applications, this hands-on guide introduces you to basic CV techniques for collecting, processing, and analyzing streaming digital images. You’ll then learn how to apply these methods with SimpleCV, using sample Python code. All you need to get started is a Windows, Mac, or Linux system, and a willingness to put CV to work in a variety of ways. Programming experience is optional....
It is no surprise to see the micro-Raman Group at Lille come forth with this
timely publication to document the present state of Raman microscopy. A
quarter century has passed since the early attempts at Raman microsampling
when the field began to merge with, and complement, other microprobe
techniques. In the late 1960s to the early '70s, it was mainly the electron beam
methods that opened up the microscopic domain to instrumental analysis,
aside from classical light microscopy.
Servlets have several key advantages compared with the older technology of CGI. They are more efficient, and allow several things to be done easily that are difficult or impossible with regular CGI. One major feature is that Servlets can talk directly to the web server; this simplifies operations that need to look up images and other data stored in standard places. Servlets are written in Java and follow a wellstandardized API (Application Programming Interface). They can be deployed with almost every commercial and open source web server, including Apache and Microsoft IIS.
