[ Team LiB ] Recipe 2.21 Using Parameterized SQL Statements Problem You want to create and execute a SQL statement having parameters that are set dynamically. Solution Add parameters to the Command object's Parameters collection.
Six years after the second international workshop
on the physical parameterizations in numerical
weather prediction (NWP) models in 2004 (Lee and Hong 2005), attendees at the third workshop on next-generation NWP models met to discuss progress in high-resolution NWP modeling and share ideas about future challenges. The main theme of the meeting
was “The Cloud-Resolving Modeling Approach and Beyond.”
This paper discusses how a two-level knowledge representation model for machine translation integrates aspectual information with lexical-semantic information by means of parameterization. The integration of aspect with lexical-semantics is especially critical in machine translation because of the lexical selection and aspectual realization processes that operate during the production of the target-language sentence: there are often a large number of lexical and aspectual possibilities to choose from in the production of a sentence from a lexical semantic representation. ...

The analog output modules convert digital signals from the PLC into analog signals for the process. The modules feature the following: Resolution from 12 to 15 bit Various voltage and current ranges: The ranges are set independently for each channel using parameterization software. Interrupt capability: The module transmits diagnostic alarm messages to the controller’s CPU in the event of errors.
The presenting training concept serves as an introduction to the modern programming of automation systems. The training document should explain the function knowledge, parameterizing and configuration of an innovative automation system to the reader and convert and strengthen the attained knowledge into practical exercises. The exercises contain examples of the automation system SIMATIC by the company SIEMENS. The document is divided into separate modules which can be executed dependent on the previous knowledge of the reader...
Average depth model has a variety of applications in hydraulic engineering,
especially in applications that flow depth is much smaller than the width of the flow.
In this method the vertical variation is negligible and the hydraulic variables
average integrated from channel bed to the surface free for the vertical axis. in
equations arising management, pure hydrostatic pressure is assumed that
not really valid in the case of flow in the bed is curved and can not be described
curvature effects of the bed.
Words can easily borrow, but the meaning of love from the heart of a people is difficult to describe. So I want to ask for forgiveness from the people that support can not be appreciated in the words and from those who, by any chance, I forgot to mention.
First of all what I want to thank prof. dr.ir. Wind Herman and his wife - Joke. The interviews with prof. Wind held in Bangkok and his decision has helped me to be here, at the University of Twente, to carry out my doctoral research. Herman and Joke, I will never forget...
These lectures intend to give a self-contained exposure of some techniques for
computing the evolution of plane curves. The motions of interest are the so-called
motions by curvature. They mean that, at any instant, each point of the curve moves
with a normal velocity equal to a function of the curvature at this point. This kind of
evolution is of some interest in differential geometry, for instance in the problem of

This high level of spending extends well into the pay period:
in weeks beginning 8 to 14 days after payday, spending is still 5 percent higher than in
the omitted category. The final distance category captures the significant increase in
spending due to overlap with the next payday.13
To further verify that our baseline results are not driven by our parameterization
of the distance measure, we regress log expenditure on separate dummy variables for
each starting distance from payday.
Competing geophysical/geochemical hypotheses for how Earth’s surface became oxygenated
– organic carbon burial, hydrogen escape to space, and changes in the redox state of volcanic
gases – are examined and a more biologically-based hypothesis is offered in response. It is
argued that compared to the modern oxygenated world, organic carbon burial is of minor
importance to the accumulation of oxygen in a mainly anoxic world where aerobic respiration
is not globally significant. Thus, for the Paleoproterozoic Great Oxidation Event (GOE) ~ 2.
Weighted finite-state transducers suffer from the lack of a training algorithm. Training is even harder for transducers that have been assembled via finite-state operations such as composition, minimization, union, concatenation, and closure, as this yields tricky parameter tying. We formulate a “parameterized FST” paradigm and give training algorithms for it, including a general bookkeeping trick (“expectation semirings”) that cleanly and efficiently computes expectations and gradients.
This paper establishes a connection between two apparently very different kinds of probabilistic models. Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) models are used as “topic models” to produce a lowdimensional representation of documents, while Probabilistic Context-Free Grammars (PCFGs) define distributions over trees. The paper begins by showing that LDA topic models can be viewed as a special kind of PCFG, so Bayesian inference for PCFGs can be used to infer Topic Models as well. Adaptor Grammars (AGs) are a hierarchical, non-parameteric Bayesian extension of PCFGs. ...
This paper presents an original approach to semi-supervised learning of personal name ethnicity from typed graphs of morphophonemic features and first/last-name co-occurrence statistics. We frame this as a general solution to an inference problem over typed graphs where the edges represent labeled relations between features that are parameterized by the edge types. We propose a framework for parameter estimation on different constructions of typed graphs for this problem using a gradient-free optimization method based on grid search.
