Orion Network Performance Monitor (Orion NPM) delivers comprehensive fault and network performance management that scales with rapid network growth and expands with your network monitoring needs, allowing you to collect and view availability and realtime and historical statistics directly from your web browser. While monitoring, collecting, and analyzing data from routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and any other SNMP-enabled devices, Orion NPM successfully offers you a simple-to-use, scalable network monitoring solution for IT professionals juggling any size network....
Bài giảng Cơ sở dữ liệu nâng cao - Chapter 8: Monitoring SQL server. Chương này trình bày một số nội dung: The goal of monitoring, performance monitor, dynamic management views, monitoring events, event notifications,...
[ Team LiB ] Recipe 1.14 Monitoring Connections Problem You want to monitor the opening and closing of connections and the number of connections in the connection pool while an application is running. Solution Use the Windows Performance Monitor
Windows 2000 Server is being widely considered as an
alternative to mainframe-type systems for high-end
computing requirements. This will place tremendous burden
and responsibility on Windows 2000 administrators to ensure
maximum availability of systems. This chapter thus discusses
service level and provides an introduction to Windows 2000
Server performance monitoring.
Oracle Database Performance Tuning Guide is an aid for people responsible for the
operation, maintenance, and performance of Oracle. This book describes detailed
ways to enhance Oracle performance by writing and tuning SQL properly, using
performance tools, and optimizing instance performance. It also explains how to
create an initial database for good performance and includes performance-related
reference information. This book could be useful for database administrators,
application designers, and programmers.
This IBM® Redbook is primarily intended for use by IBM Clients and IBM
Business Partners. In it we discuss and demonstrate technology, architectures,
techniques, and product capabilities for business performance management
BPM is a relatively new and evolving initiative that brings together a number of
technologies to monitor and manage the attainment of business measurements
and goals. However, this redbook is not intended to be a comprehensive treatise
on BPM, but more of an introduction to help you understand it and get started
with your implementation....
SQL Server 2008 Database Administration– Monitoring and Performance
Chapter 9 is about performance and exception monitoring your server
• We’ll start with the basics (using Profiler) and end with new features in SQL Server 2008 (Data Collector)
The use of fibre optic sensors in structural health monitoring has rapidly accelerated in recent years. By embedding fibre optic sensors in structures (e.g. buildings, bridges and pipelines) it is possible to obtain real time data on structural changes such as stress or strain. Engineers use monitoring data to detect deviations from a structure’s original design performance in order to optimise the operation, repair and maintenance of a structure over time.
This book is aimed at intermediate to advanced database administrators using or planning to use PostgreSQL. Portions will also interest systems administrators looking to build or monitor a PostgreSQL installation, as well as developers interested in advanced database internals that impact application design.
This book is an expression of gratitude for my incredible good for-
tune to be immersed in the world of projects while meeting the
teachings of the wisdom traditions of Yoga, Taoism, Advaita Vedanta
and Buddhism. From these teachings and their application in complex
organizations performing complex projects, I am better able to under-
stand the essence of the many attempts to express the nature of our
I wish to thank first my wife Linda, a fellow traveler and the loving
mirror who helps me to see myself as I am and as I can be.
Built-In Database Objects
In addition to creating the database files, several other structures are created.
Data dictionary: Contains descriptions of the objects in the database
Dynamic performance tables: Contains information used by the database administrator (DBA) to monitor and tune the database and instance
PL/SQL packages: Program units adding functionality to the database. These packages are created when the catproc.sql script is run after the CREATE DATABASE command. PL/SQL packages will not be discussed within the scope of this course.
Corporate networks in today's dynamic business environment are often comprised of many networks and
gateways that support a diverse set of products and user needs. The challenge of managing an increasing
array of system traffic can put enormous pressure on IT staffing capacity and network resources. With
SmartView Monitor, Check Point offers you a cost effective solution to obtain a complete picture of network
and security performance; and to respond quickly and efficiently to changes in gateways, tunnels, remote
users and traffic flow patterns or security activities....
This paper analyzes Vietnam’s monthly exports to the United States from January 2000 to May, 2007 using monthly trade statistics available from the U.S. Census. The analysis focuses on Vietnam’s performance in terms of both U.S. market share and price, and the sample period includes Vietnam’s accession to the WTO (in 2001) as well as the onset of monitoring of a subset of Vietnam’s textile and clothing (T&C) exports to the United States by the U.S. Office of Textiles and Apparel (Otexa) in 2007.
In this chapter you will: Understand important financial performance measures and their users, by life cycle stage; describe how financial ratios are used to monitor a venture’s performance; identify specific cash burn rate measures and liquidity ratios and explain how they are calculated and used by an entrepreneur;...
The Defence Procurement Agency (DPA), part of the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD), measures its annual performance against five key targets for its top 20 projects (by value), as documented in its Major Project Reports. Key Target 2 addresses programme slippage, which is the delay between the promised in-service date and the actual or projected in-service date. The MOD 2001/2002 performance report indicates slippage for the top 20 projects averaged approximately one year. Furthermore, the existences of...
The main contents of the chapter consist of the following: Structure of a project monitoring information system, the project control process, monitoring time performance, development of an earned value cost/schedule system, developing a status report: a hypothetical example.
