Motivated by the adverse effects of the financial crisis, in 2010 the Commission Directorate
General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion and the EIB made each available EUR
100m to the benefit of micro-enterprises and self-employment, with a particular emphasis on
social inclusion and groups with limited access to the traditional banking system.
Application Performance Management (APM) is the name given to the
use of technology to initiate, deploy, monitor, fix, update and/or
optimize systems within an organization. Application management
software employs measurements of response times, and other
component and resource interactions, to help manage the overall
stability and usability of the software within its purview.

Quality assurance of the screening process requires a robust system of programme mana-
gement and coordination, assuring that all aspects of the service are performing adequa-
tely. The first edition of the European Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Cervical Cancer
Screening emphasized the principles of organised, population-based screening and was in-
strumental in initiating pilot projects in Europe. More than a decade has passed since pub-
lication of the first guideline edition.

Whilst we are cautious about making firm conclusions about the similarities and differences of
countries from the pilot data because of the different questions used in some cases, we have employed a
statistically conservative approach to analysing across the countries in order to look for general patterns.
We have used an approach that looks at the average scores for each country, and then groups the countries
according to whether or not their results are significantly different.
There is an adjustable feedback from the main valve to the pilot valve to adjust the ratio of main
valve to pilot valve movement. By changing the amount the main valve moves for a given
movement of the pilot valve, the relative speed of the servomotors is changed. This is
independent of the setting for wicket gate travel rate. The main valve normally doesn’t move far
enough to contact the stop nuts during a load change. The feedback acts on the pilot valve
bushing to close off the pilot valve ports to stop the flow of oil...

One of the more promising processes for the energetic transformation of waste is the anaerobic digestion of the Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste. An experimental campaign was carried out on three different samples of OFMSW from Waste Separation, one as received and two obtained after mechanical treatment: OFMSW slurry (liquid fraction) and OFMSW Waste. Anaerobic Biogasification Potential and anaerobic digestion tests were carried out, investigating the effects of inoculum and pH. The OFMSW Waste was also examined to evaluate the possibility to dispose of it in a landfill.
Carrier Recovery for ‘Sub-Coherent’ CDMA
Overview In this chapter we examine possible methods of carrier recovery for the SECDMA presented in Chapter 6. In particular, we propose, evaluate and compare two techniques; namely Symbol-Aided Demodulation (SAD) and the Pilot-Aided Demodulation (PAD). The performance analysis of each scheme (SAD and PAD) includes both Rician and Rayleigh multipath fading channels, and thus are also useful (in addition to the satellite) in terrestrial mobile applications....
The objective of this thesis was to study the interactions of microbial activity, biocide usage
and creation, and chemical changes in the papermaking process. The main focus was on
oxidative biocide systems. In addition, new measurement and biocide production methods
were applied to papermaking, and evaluated for the monitoring and control of the
microbiological state and biocide usage. The measurement methods were based on portable
handheld online equipments whereas the biocide production was based on electrochemical
generation of biocides.
Evaluation of 60% of GOK facilities was undertaken in 2009 with UNICEF support and in 2010, 75%
of hospitals were supported with BFHI capacity strengthening efforts. The implementation of the
program has a strong training component.

that are in levels two and three according to Kenya Essential Package of Health (KEPH).
