This chapter presents the following content: Introduction to sensitivity analysis, objective function coefficients, right-hand sides, graphical sensitivity analysis, sensitivity analysis: computer solution, simultaneous changes.

Lecture Quantiative methods for bussiness - Chapter 4 include all of the following contents: Problem formulation, decision making without probabilities, decision making with probabilities, risk analysis and sensitivity analysis, decision analysis with sample information, computing branch probabilities.
In chapter 11, we focus on assessing the reliability of such an estimate and on some additional considerations in project analysis. After studying this chapter, you should understand: How to perform and interpret a sensitivity analysis for a proposed investment, how to perform and interpret a scenario analysis for a proposed investment, how the degree of operating leverage can affect the cash fl ows of a project,...

Chapter 5 "Linear programming: Sensitivity analysis and duality", after completing this chapter, you should be able to: Explain how sensitivity analysis can be useful to a decision maker, explain why it can be useful for a decision maker to extend the analysis of a linear programming problem beyond determination of the optimal solution, explain how to analyze graphically and interpret the impact of a change in the value of the objective function coefficient,...
(BQ) Part 2 book "Engineering economy" has contents: Project financing and noneconomic attributes, replacement and retention decisions, independent projects with budget limitation, breakeven and payback analysis, depreciation methods, sensitivity analysis and staged decisions,...and other contents.
(BQ) Surface integrity and dimensional accuracy remain critical concern in Electrical Discharge
Machining (EDM). The current research work aims at investigating the influence of various EDM process parameters like pulse current (Ip), pulse-on time (Ton), tool work time (Tw) and tool lift time (Tup) on various aspects of surface integrity like white layer thickness (WLT), surface crack density (SCD) and surface roughness (SR). The dimensional accuracy, characterized by over cut (OC), has also been studied in the similar way.
At the end of this lecture, students should be able to define elasticity, define price elasticity of demand/supply and its determinants, compute the price elasticity of demand/ supply, know the variety of demand/supply curves, to know the relationship between total revenue and the price elasticity of demand, define and compute income elasticity of demand, define and compute cross-price elasticity of demand.

This book explains the financial appraisal of capital budgeting projects. The coverage extends from the development of basic concepts, principles and techniques to the application of them in increasingly complex and real-world situations. Identification and estimation (including forecasting) of cash flows, project appraisal formulae and the application of net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR) and other project evaluation criteria are illustrated with a variety of calculation examples.
This text offers the perfect introduction to social benefit-cost analysis. The book closely integrates the theory and practice of benefit-cost analysis using a spreadsheet framework. The spreadsheet model is constructed in a truly original way which contributes to transparency, provides a check on the accuracy of the analysis, and facilitates sensitivity, risk and alternative scenario assessment. A case study inco
Determination of methemoglobin (Met-Hb) in blood is important for the diagnosis of poisoning by oxidants, such as nitrite, nitrate, chlorate, chlorite, alkyl nitrites, nitroglycerin, aniline and other compounds. In 1938, Evelyn and Malloy had devised a photoelectric method for determination of Met-Hb in blood. Minor modifications of this method were made by several researchers to increase sensitivity [2–4]. These methods are based on a phenomenon that the absorbance maximum of weakly acidic Met-Hb at 630 nm disappears by addition of cyanide.
In this chapter, risk is accounted for by (1) applying a discount rate commensurate with the riskiness of the cash flows, and (2), by using a certainty equivalent factor
In chapter 8, risk is accounted for by evaluating the project using sensitivity and breakeven analysis.
The growing sensitivity to the technologies on Wall Street is clear evidence that the electrical/electronics industry is one that will have a sweeping impact on future development in a wide range of areas that affect our life style, general health, and capabilities.
To be able to use the functionality of PRISM in full, users have to register in
the system by entering their user identifi cation and password (which are not
case sensitive) and clicking the REGISTER NOW menu. The registration is
needed to enable the users to receive a confi rmation e-mail message when
their simulations are done so that they can view the results.
Organizations with customer/client data are more at risk because this data is not only confidential, it is also the type of information that
thieves and hackers seek out. This is especially true when financial records or credit card numbers are at risk. There is also the burden of
added social pressure because of the sensitive nature of information that is considered personal. Pressure to protect personal data will increase
over the next several years as privacy legislation is passed in countries around the world.
