Extender Card is an optional main-

The DS1 Loop Extender (DLX) module is used to extend a DS1
up to 655 feet to a digital cross-connect (DSX-1). The DLX
receives a non-return to zero (NRZ) 1.544 Mbps signal from the
DS3 Soneplex multiplexer module, converts the NRZ signal to a
bipolar DS1 signal and transmits a DS1 signal that meets the
industry standard DSX-1 template boundaries as defined by TR-
Streaker (STK) module is an optional,

The Soneplex Loop Extender system is
an efficient, cost-effective solution for
T1-based service delivery. It supports
DS1 network interfaces and up to 28
DS1 loop transport modules. Integrated
network management lets carriers save
on overall operations costs through the
entire system lifecycle.
The Soneplex E1 Quad Loop Extender (EQLX) Four-Position
Remote Chassis houses up to four EQLX modules and
optional line termination unit, power supply unit, E1 alarm
processor unit and E1 craft/performance monitoring module
at the customer premises, for termination of two protected
or unprotected optical E2 circuits (or up to eight E1s).
The Soneplex T1 Intelligent Office Repeater (RLXIOR)
module extends a single DS1 up to 3,000 feet, and can be
optioned as either an automatic span power repeater or a
long haul DS1 interface to a DSX. The RLXIOR supports
intelligent loopbacks and span powers intelligent repeater
modules and network interface devices.
ADC’s Quad Loop Extender (QLX) 3192 shelf adapter is an adapter board that allows for an ADC
Soneplex QLX module to be plugged into an industry-standard 3192 office repeater shelf. The QLX
3192 shelf adapter also supports an optional ADC System Controller Unit (SCU) for system management
and craft port access.
The Soneplex E1 Quad Loop Extender (EQLX)
module converts four multiplexed, E1 signals

The Soneplex HDSL Remote (HLXR) module operates with ADC's
Soneplex HDSL Central Office module to provide full duplex DS1
transport over two unconditioned, non-loaded copper loops. This
200 mechanics HLXR module is compatible with a variety of
indoor and outdoor enclosures, including a network interface
device. It supports span powered HDSL service up to 12,000 feet.
One HDSL repeater extends the HDSL distance up to 24,000 feet,
or 36,000 feet with two repeaters. Three models are available,
each occupying a single slot in either a 200 or 400 style enclo-
The Soneplex Single Fiber Quad Loop Extender (WQLX) module converts four multiplexed DS1 signals
into an optical DS2 using wave division multiplexing (WDM) optics. Similar to ADC’s Quad Loop
Extender (QLX), the WQLX transports the signal over single mode fiber, but uses only one fiber
instead of two. The same module is also used at the remote end to convert the optical DS2 back into
four DS1s at the customer premises.
The Soneplex HDSL Slimline Repeater operates with ADC's Soneplex HDSL Central Office and
Remote modules to extend the effective length of HDSL spans to 24,000 ft using one repeater
or 36,000 ft with two repeaters. It inserts into a single slot of any industry-standard 239-
mechanics outdoor enclosure, or ADC’s Soneplex Radiator™ or EnCaser™ 819.

With the recent introduction of the CPM (Continuous Performance Monitoring) module
to the remote QLX product line and Soneplex MPU software release 4.2, DS1 hicap route
diversity can now be added to the "path protection" feature associated with many fiber
rings and OCn multiplexers.
DS1 hicap route diversity allows service providers to extend path protection into the local
loop and provide complete DS1 circuit protection for critical hicap customers.
In many applications, T1 repeater and other hicap transmission equipment lines are
terminated in remote cabinets in 3192-style shelves or racks. Now, with the recent introduction
of the Soneplex 3192R HDSL remote module, HDSL circuits originating from a
Soneplex central office terminal (COT) module can be terminated remotely in 3192-style
shelves. The 3192 shelf is a standard shelf configuration commonly used in the industry.
3192 shelves support 28 module slots and each slot is provided power, local alarm contact
points and circuit pin-outs for loop and line wiring for the module....
High-bit-rate digital subscriber line (HDSL) circuits for the delivery of DS1 services can
now be extended to 36,000 feet by implementing the newly introduced Soneplex main
processor unit (MPU) module with software release 5.2 and the latest version Soneplex
HDSL central office repeater and remote modules. This allows monitoring of the signals
from the central office along each span.
