In this paper, we present a novel approach for automatic summarization. Our system, called CBSEAS, integrates a new method to detect redundancy at its very core, and produce more expressive summaries than previous approaches. Moreover, we show that our system is versatile enough to integrate opinion mining techniques, so that it is capable of producing opinion oriented summaries. The very competitive results obtained during the last Text Evaluation Conference (TAC 2008) show that our approach is efficient. ...

Designed for video-production professionals, Final Cut Server sets the standard for intuitive media asset management, making it easy to manage large collections of media files efficiently. In this Apple-authorized reference guide, system integrator Drew Tucker takes you on a comprehensive tour of the software, covering everything from tools for tracking, reviewing, and approving jobs to automating complex sequences of tasks in a busy post environment. Along the way, Tucker shares essential workflows that will shave hours from your post-production jobs....
ADC Systems Integration offers comprehensive integration solutions for cable operators delivering
advanced voice, video, and data services. By combining competencies in multivendor and multiservice
delivery, ADC provides solutions that meet the most demanding network deployment requirements.
This paper presents a novel information system integrating advanced information extraction technology and automatic hyper-linking. Extracted entities are mapped into a domain ontology that relates concepts to a selection of hyperlinks. For information extraction, we use SProUT, a generic platform for the development and use of multilingual text processing components. By combining finite-state and unification-based formalisms, the grammar formalism used in SProUT offers both processing efficiency and a high degree of decalrativeness. ...
Current automatic speech transcription systems can achieve a high accuracy although they still make mistakes. In some scenarios, high quality transcriptions are needed and, therefore, fully automatic systems are not suitable for them. These high accuracy tasks require a human transcriber. However, we consider that automatic techniques could improve the transcriber’s efficiency. With this idea we present an interactive speech recognition system integrated with a word processor in order to assists users when transcribing speech.

The main aim of the MIMA (Mining Information for Management and Acquisition) Search System is to achieve ‘structuring knowledge’ to accelerate knowledge exploitation in the domains of science and technology. This system integrates natural language processing including ontology development, information retrieval, visualization, and database technology. The ‘structuring knowledge’ that we define indicates 1) knowledge storage, 2) (hierarchical) classification of knowledge, 3) analysis of knowledge, 4) visualization of knowledge.
Our MT systems integrate many advanced concepts from the fields of computer science, linguistics, and AI : specialized languages for linguistic programming based on production systems, complete linguistic programming environment, multilevel representations, organization of the lexicons around "lexical units", units of translation of the size of several paragraphs, possibility of using text-driven heuristic strategies.
In this chapter students will be able to: To be aware of the threats to computer accounting, to learn the controls for computer accounting, to understand the security requirements to be incorporated in system design, to learn about maintaining system integrity.
In this chapter, students will be able to understand: Why is integration of data important in business? How do enterprise resource planning systems make businesses run better through integration of data? How do workgroup tools improve business integration? Why are data warehouses important in integrating data? How does the Internet help integrate data on different types of systems? How can a group decision support system help managers achieve a consensus?
(BQ) Part 1 book "Engine testing - Theory and practice" has contents: Test facility specification, system integration and project organization, the test cell as a thermodynamic system, vibration and noise, test cell and control room design - an overall view, ventilation and air conditioning,... and other contents.
Chapter 11 - Information security and computer fraud. After reading this chapter, you should be able to: Describe the risks related to information security and systems integrity, understand the concepts of encryption and authentication, describe computer fraud and misuse of AIS and corresponding risk-mitigation techniques, define vulnerabilities, and explain how to manage and assess vulnerabilities.
Over the past few years, many fundamental changes have taken place in wireless communications that will influence the future of this dynamic field. One phenomenon driving these changes has been the integration of wireless communicationdevices in people’s lives. While the 1990s were the years when wireless voice telephony became popular, the 2000s should be the time when wireless data applications are truly un-tethered from homes and offices.
For several years, Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) professionals have
been attempting to penetrate the “Quality Market.” Although progress for many in
the field has been slow up until the last two years or so, help is on the way. With
final issuance of the ISO 14000 standards in the fall of 1996, EH&S Professionals
have found a new door opening into their company’s quality system.
Harmonic distortion problems include equipment overheating, motor failures, capacitor failure and inaccurate power metering. The topic of power system harmonics was covered for the first time 20 years ago and the first edition has become a standard reference work in this area. Unprecedented developments in power electronic devices and their integration at all levels in the power system require a new look at the causes and effects of these problems, and the state of hardware and software available for harmonic assessment.
A large variety of nano- and microscale structures and devices, as well as NEMS and MEMS (systems integrate structures, devices, and subsystems), have been widely used, and a worldwide market for NEMS and MEMS and their applications will be drastically increased in the near future. The differences in NEMS and MEMS are emphasized, and NEMS are smaller than MEMS. For example, carbon nanotubes (nanostructure) can be used as the molecular wires and sensors in MEMS. Different specifications are imposed on NEMS and MEMS depending upon their applications.
