The problem of service composition is viewed by many as the \holy grail"
in Services Computing. There have been many attempts by researchers from
various domains to perform research on this highly relevant and timely sub-
ject. One of the goals in Semantic Web research has been to provide con-
cepts, methods, and tools to cater for automatic composition of services on
This Manual is divided into four chapters. Chapter 1 contains background information on the
reasons for regulating emissions from wood furniture manufacturing including a brief regulatory
perspective, an overview of the health effects of the five solvents used in the largest quantities,
sources of emissions from a typical wood furniture manufacturing facility, and a summary of the
new federal wood furniture regulations. Chapter 2 defines pollution prevention (P2) and discusses
the elements of a successful P2 program.
With subprime mortgages representing only about 14 percent of the stock of US mortgages, most observers expected rising delinquencies in this segment to be contained at moderate cost. Testifying in July 2007, Federal Reserve Bank Chairman Bernanke estimated that credit losses associated with subprime mortgages would probably total $50 billion to $100 billion.
