In the belief that the establishment of a first-class Terminal Market system, worthy of twentieth century requirements, is a matter of vital importance to every family in New York, I have spent considerable time during the past few months investigating markets on both sides of the Atlantic.
As a result I am more than ever conscious of the need for an enlightened public opinion to support the efforts of the Terminal Market Commission to secure this benefit for our community.

Many associations let insurance companies and agents offer long-term care
insurance to their members. These policies are like other types of long-term
care insurance and typically require medical underwriting. Like employer-
group policies, association policies usually give their members a choice of
benefit options. In most cases, policies sold through associations must let
members keep or convert their coverage after leaving the association. Be
careful about joining an association just to buy any insurance coverage.
Review your rights if the policy is terminated or canceled. ...
Ever wonder what the difference is between “terminating” an employee and “firing” an employee, or if there is any difference at all? Easy Small Business HR’s “HR Dictionary” takes the mystery out some of the human resources jargon by highlighting some of the basic definitions of words most often used by those in the position to hire and manage staff. Some basic terms used by HR professionals when interviewing candidates: Behavioral Interview – an interview technique that requires that the person being interviewed provide specific examples that support their responses.
Utility green pricing sales continue to exhibit some growth, but growth has slowed in the past
two years, in particular. Collectively, utilities in regulated electricity markets sold about 4.8
billion kWh of green power to customers in 2008 (Table 9). Green pricing program sales to all
customer classes grew by 11% in 2008, compared to rates ranging from 26% to 56% in recent
years (Table 9 and Figure 4). The loss of the FPL program had a noticeable impact on sales.
Without the termination of the FPL program, utility green pricing program sales would have
grown at a rate of...
Chapter 21 - Employment Law. At the end of this chapter you should understand: the remedies available to an employee arising from the termination of employment, the operation of the statutory unfair dismissal jurisdictions and their interrelationship with common-law principles of employment law, the liability of an employer to third parties for torts and crimes committed by employees,...
This chapter aims at providing the framework of VSAT technology in the evolving contextof satellite communications in terms of network configuration, services, operational and regulatory aspects. It also can be considered by the reader asa guide to the following chapters which aimat providing more details on the most important issues.
1.1 VSAT NETWORK DEFINITION
VSAT, now a well established acronym for Very Small Aperture Terminal, was initially a trade mark for a small earth station marketed in the 80s by Telcom General in the USA....
With the rapid development of wireless communication networks,
it is expected that fourth-generation (4G) mobile systems will
appear in the market by the end of this decade. These systems
will aim at seamlessly integrating the existing wireless technologies
on a single handset: together with the traditional power/size/price
limitations, the mobile terminal should now comply with a multitude of wireless
In today`s industry, hydroformylation is the largest volume homogeneous catalytic process employing organometallic catalysts . The simplest representation of this process (Scheme 4.1) is the reaction of a terminal alkene with CO and to afford linear and branched aldehydes.
n-Butyraldehyde is produced for manufacturing 2-ethylhexanol used on large scale as an additive in plastics industry. Therefore the straight chain product of propene hydroformylation (linear aldehyde) is more valuable than iso-butyraldehyde, although the branched isomer, as well, has a smaller but constant market. ...
ADC's BNC connectors are the most reliable and universally accepted method of terminating coaxial
cable in the market today. Outstanding electrical performance (up to 3 GHz) is achieved by unique
design elements in the industry's truest 75 Ohm connector. Precision-molded insulators with locking
gold-plated center conductors ensure true 75 Ohm characteristic impedance. Innovative features result
in significant reduction of impedance mismatch throughout the network and improved transmission
reliability in digital applications....
PUBLIC SATELLITE NETWORKS
Satellites have been carrying communications since the early 1960s, serving as relays for voice, video, or data. They have long been dominated by the military and, in their direct broadcast form, by large television communications companies. In 1989 the Gartner Group believed that the mobile satellite industry will be one of the great growth markets of the next decadesurpassing cellular telephones and digital paging, and in the same league as personal computers.
It is however the risks that banks run on the economic side of the equation. Banks -contrary to companies-
cannot reduce their “costs” of production for the products they sell: risk products. They cannot reduce the
reward to the depositors below the market level, otherwise they lose deposits. Banks’ input costs are fixed
and their output income is depending on their own risk selection, but also on the state of an economy, in
other words variable. Companies can adjust their input costs if sales do not materialise.
With particular respect to environmental product innovations, we find that a large ma-
jority of facilities in these OECD countries report that their measures are aimed at production
processes and not so much at products to reduce environmental impacts. While pollution
problems have been mastered quite successfully through the use of cleaner processes at the
production site, product-integrated environmental innovations still seem to suffer from poor
The Mini DSX-3 Rear Cross-Connect System is the highest density available in the
market today, and uses ADC patented LCJ technology. OC-48 SONET terminal
matches up perfectly with a single Mini DSX-3 Chassis.
The Mini DSX-3 uses a miniature coaxial technology, offering twice the density of
traditional DSX-3 products.
As California local agencies are becoming involved in the
interest rate swap market, knowledge of the basics of pric
ing swaps may assist issuers to better understand initial,
mark-to-market, and termination costs associated with
their swap programs.
This report is intended to provide treasury managers and
staff with a basic overview of swap math and related pric
