This paper describes novel results on the characteristics of three-party dialogues by quantitatively comparing them with those of two-party. In previous dialogue research, two-party dialogues are mainly focussed because data collection of multi-party dialogues is difficult and there are very few theories handling them, although research on multi-party dialogues is expected to be of much use in building computer supported collaborative work environments and computer assisted instruction systems.

The Moonstone (1868) by Wilkie Collins is a 19th-century British epistolary novel, generally considered the first detective novel in the English language. The story was originally serialized in Charles Dickens' magazine All the Year Round. The Moonstone and The Woman in White are considered Wilkie Collins' best novels. Besides creating many of the characteristics of detective novels, The Moonstone also represented Collins' social opinions by his treatment of the Indians and the servants in the novel.

This paper presents the results of soil characteristics study and orientation for rational and sustainable use of major soil types in Thai Thuy District, Thai Binh Province, where is facing many environmental problems. The interactive process between river, sea and human activities over time has resulted in the characteristics of 10 soil types, which are grouped in 4 main classes (acid sulfate soil, saline soil, alluvial soil and sandy soil). They have been used for agricultural production (mainly for rice and other crops growing).

The design and analysis of a racetrack resonator based on a multimode interference
(MMI) coupler are presented in this paper. In order to describe the characteristics of an MMI
coupler, a matrix description of the MMI coupler, which takes into account the effect of higher
order modes in the structure, is developed. A design approach that is based on this matrix
description is proposed. The usefulness of this design method is illustrated by means of an
example based on Silicon on Insulator (SOI) technology....
Reusing domestic wastewater for irrigation is a common practice in peri-urban areas in Vietnam. This study investigates the characteristic of domestic wastewater in Hanoi City in terms of nutritive value and potential risk in using for agriculture. The wastewater samples were collected in four main drainage rivers of the City including Lu, Set, Kim Nguu, and To Lich River during March to May 2010. We found that the wastewater of Hanoi City

China is rapidly developing as evidenced by enhanced urbanization and industrialization and greatly increased energy consumption. However, these have brought Chinese cities a variety of urban air pollution problems in recent decades. During the 1970s, black smoke from stacks became the characteristic of Chinese industrial cities; in the 1980s, many southern cities began to suffer serious acid rain pollution; and recently, the air quality in large cities has deteriorated due to nitrous oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), and photochemical smog, which are typical of vehicle pollution.
In this chapter, we will address the following questions: What are the characteristics of the eukaryotic genome? What are the characteristics of eukaryotic genes? How are eukaryotic gene transcripts processed? How is eukaryotic gene transcription regulated? How is eukaryotic gene expression regulated after transcription? How is gene expression controlled during and after translation?
Many theories and models about speech and communication exist. Today, I will introduce you to one model, the transactional model. Remember, this is only one model of many. Let's begin with a few of the transactional model's characteristics.
Statistical analysis has also meant that no generalisation regarding the kind of student least likely to
improve (or likely to regress) can be reliably made. Nevertheless, it is interesting to consider the
characteristics of each of the individuals who did regress in their IELTS Test results.
Table 12 gives data relating to the six students whose IELTS Test results in Test 2 were lower than in
Test 1. Five of the six students who regressed were studying Nursing and four were of East or South
Asian language background. Four were in the older age group and four had an...
