• ### WIRELESS POWER TRANSFER – PRINCIPLE AND ENGINEERING EXPLORATIONS

The title of this book, Wireless Power Transfer: Principles and Engineering Explorations, encompasses theory and engineering technology, which are of interest for diverse classes of wireless power transfer. This book is a collection of contemporary research and developments in the area of wireless power transfer technology. It consists of 13 chapters that focus on interesting topics of wireless power links, and several system issues in which analytical methodologies, numerical simulation techniques, measurement techniques and methods, and applicable examples are investigated....

• ### Đề tài " A Mass Transference Principle and the Duffin-Schaeffer conjecture for Hausdorff measures "

A Hausdorff measure version of the Duffin-Schaeffer conjecture in metric number theory is introduced and discussed. The general conjecture is established modulo the original conjecture. The key result is a Mass Transference Principle which allows us to transfer Lebesgue measure theoretic statements for lim sup subsets of Rk to Hausdorff measure theoretic statements. In view of this, the Lebesgue theory of lim sup sets is shown to underpin the general Hausdorff theory. This is rather surprising since the latter theory is viewed to be a subtle refinement of the former. ...

• ### Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer of Turbomachinery

Over the past three decades, information in the aerospace and mechanical engineering fields in general and turbomachinery in particular has grown at an exponential rate. Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer of Turbomachinery is the first book, in one complete volume, to bring together the modern approaches and advances in the field, providing the most up-to-date, unified treatment available on basic principles, physical aspects of the aerothermal field, analysis, performance, theory, and computation of turbomachinery flow and heat transfer....

• ### HEAT TRANSFER: EXERCISES

Worked examples are a necessary element to any textbook in the sciences, because they reinforce the theory (i.e. the principles, concepts and methods). Once the theory has been understood, well chosen examples can be used, with modification, as a template to solve more complex, or similar problems. This work book contains examples and full solutions to go with the text of our e-book (Heat Transfer, by Long and Sayma). The subject matter corresponds to the five chapters of our book: Introduction to Heat Transfer, Conduction, Convection, Heat Exchangers and Radiation....

• ### Principles of Electrochemistry , Second Edition

The new edition of Principles of Electrochemistry has been considerably extended by a number of new sections, particularly dealing with 'electrochemical material science' (ion and electron conducting polymers, chemically modified electrodes), photoelectrochemistry, stochastic processes, new aspects of ion transfer across biological membranes, biosensors, etc. In view of this extension of the book we asked Dr Ladislav Kavan (the author of the section on non-electrochemical methods in the first edition) to contribute as a co-author discussing many of these topics.

• ### Lecture Principles of biochemistry - Chapter 14 (part 1): Electron transport

In this chapter 14, you will know the chemosmotic theory. Know the names of the major components of the mitochondria and the functions and properties of these components. Understand how reduction potentials of re-dox pairs relate to electron transport. Know that electrons can only be transferred to electron acceptors with less negative or more positive reduction potentials,...

• ### Báo cáo khoa học: "TRANSFER IN A MULTILINGUAL MT SYSTEM"

In the context of transferbased MT systems, the nature of the intermediate represenations, and particularly their 'depth', is an important question. This paper explores the notions of 'independence of languages' and 'simple transfer', and provides some principles that may enable linguists to study this problem in a systematic way. I. Background This paper is relevant for a class of MT systems with the following characteristics:

• ### SIMATIC SIEMENS

So now you are familiar with the name as synonymous with SIMATIC Siemens programmable controller S5 family. Now name Stands for SIMATIC automation fully integrated. The automation concept of full integration describes a revolutionary new way combined world production and technical processes. all the hardware components and software are integrated into single system: SIMATIC. Complete integration is done by universal compatibility provided by the three systems S7 following areas: database Data is only entered once and then have both a factory.

• ### MAGNETIC SENSORS – PRINCIPLES AND APPLICATIONS

A dual fluidized beds system essentially comprises of two fluidized bed reactors coupled together with a provision of gas or materials transfer in between. It may be a combination of circulating-circulating or bubbling-circulating or bubbling-bubbling type systems. A noble application is in a gasification process for coal or biomass where nitrogen of air is not allowed to dilute the product gas.

• ### MASS TRANSFER IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERING PROCESSES

Mass transfer in the multiphase multicomponent systems represents one of the most important problems to be solved in chemical technology, both in theoretical as well as practical point of view. In libraries all over the world, many books and articles can be found related to the mass transfer. Practically, all textbooks devoted to the separation processes or reaction engineering contain chapters describing the basic principles of the mass (and heat) transfer.

• ### Principles Air Quality Management

In order to understand and manage our air quality resources, it is necessary to gain a fundamental understanding of the principles that govern our ability to do so. From a local perspective, it may be considered desirable to install huge fans in order to “blow the smog away,” but from a technological and scientific perspective it is not feasible. Likewise, from a regional or continental perspective, it is not acceptable to merely transfer air contaminants from one location to another one by dilution or “blowing it away.”...

• ### Fundamentals of Instrumentation and Measurement

This title presents the general principles of instrumentation processes. It explains the theoretical analysis of physical phenomena used by standard sensors and transducers to transform a physical value into an electrical signal. The pre-processing of these signals through electronic circuits – amplification, signal filtering and analog-to-digital conversion – is then detailed, in order to provide useful basic information. Attention is then given to general complex systems.

• ### Section I - General Principles

The absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of a drug all involve its passage across cell membranes. Mechanisms by which drugs cross membranes and the physicochemical properties of molecules and membranes that influence this transfer are, therefore, important. The determining characteristics of a drug are its molecular size and shape, degree of ionization, relative lipid solubility of its ionized and nonionized forms, and its binding to tissue proteins.

• ### ANNUAL REPORT ON THE TRANSFERS OF CONTROLLED GOODS IN 2007

Target marketing is based on fundamental marketing principles that are employed by just about all firms across all types of products and toward all types of audience segments. As the nation undergoes dramatic demographic shifts, moving today’s ethnic minorities to the majority in many geographic areas, target marketing to ethnic groups will increase.

• ### WIRELESS POWER TRANSFER – PRINCIPLES AND ENGINEERING EXPLORATIONS

There is a basic law in thermodynamics; the law of conservation of energy, which states that energy may neither be created nor destroyed just can be transformed. Nature is an expert using this physics fundamental law favouring life and evolution of species all around the planet, it can be said that we are accustomed to live under this law that we do not pay attention to its existence and how it influence our lives.

• ### Economics and the Challenge of Global Warming

Global warming is theenvironmental issue of the twenty-first century. Many believe it ranks with war and poverty as one of the greatest challenges to human well-being. But unlike war and poverty, which humanity has confronted for millennia, global warming is a recent concern. And unlike war and poverty, global warming is mainly a pro-spective threat and one that can in principle be met with pre-emptive action.
