This article will first explain how businesses reconfigure their supply chains in response to transportation infrastructure improvements that increase efficiency and reduce shipping costs, and then will use the experience of the Russia to argue that governments should target, measure, and consider supply chain benefits when deciding whether or not to fund an infrastructure project. However still questions of formation of resources for financing the road economy, interaction of the state and private business in the matter are not sufficiently worked.

The aim of the study was the systematization of theoretical and methodological approaches to the analysis of seaport competitiveness in the Russian Far East for the further development of proposals on competitiveness improvement. Based on the analysis, they substantiated the significance of seaports in the modern world economy and the economy of the Russian Far East. They evaluated the development potential of the Far Eastern ports. On the basis of an integrated supply chain, the competitiveness of the seaports of the Far East of Russia was assessed.

This paper focuses on the customers’ commitment and behaviour towards an effective of ‘drop trailer method’ (DTM) in haulage industry. There was limited study in customers’ commitment and behaviour on the efficiency of DTM. The study on DTM was due to the increasing volumes of international trade using haulage transport and trailers which led to rapid growth of container volumes at Malaysian ports. The maximum usage of trailers are needed to cater the growth of containers’ movements at present.

In this research, the authors used the results of the studies on the economy of the Arctic regions and the data on the Russian Arctic of the State Statistics Committee of the Russian Federation. Its economic structure includes traditional sectors: reindeer husbandry, hunting, and fishing. Industrial, transport, and energy development of the territories have a negative impact on traditional activities, so that the peoples of the Arctic have to search for new forms and ways of employment, conservation of the environment, and ethno cultural development.

An observational study, paired with a comprehensive analysis of literature, is conducted to explore the gamut of the transportation networks in Melaka and its relation and contribution to the tourism industry. Findings show that Melaka’s tourism industry is dependent on transportation networks. Public transportations are found to be inadequate. Issues such as seasonal congestion and public transportation inadequacy need to be addressed immediately to ensure that smooth flow and dispersal of traffic, entering and exiting Melaka.

The purpose of this research is to assess the traveller’s wayfinding behaviour of airport terminal access design. Airport wayfinding is defined as a process in which a traveller makes a decision to navigate using information support systems in order to arrive to destination successfully. Quantitative data is acquired to give meaningful results justifying the research outcomes and allow non-biased interpretation of the research results. It represents the process within the development of the methodology and the concept of airport terminal access design and human wayfinding behaviour.
