In recent years, Nhat Le estuary has been accreted due to the development of a spit bar in the south bank, which obstructs the waterway navigation, the flood drainage and causes erosion in the north bank endangering the infrastructures of Dong Hoi city. This study shows the simulation of shortterm and long term bed level changes in 10, 50 and 100 years of the estuary and the impacts of applied structural solutions using Delft3D, a model developed by Delft Hydraulics.
