History • Halloween is celebrated on 31st October. • Began at 2,000 years ago as the ancient Celtic festival. • Samhain (Sow-een)- End of the summer.
• History During Samhain, the ancient Celts thought ghosts of the dead returned to Earth and caused chaos, sickness and destroyed plants. • The Celts wore masks and danced to scare the ghosts away. • In North America, Halloween is started in the 19th century. It is a time of celebration & superstition.
