Causal research

The article discusses aspects of the provisions of Vietnamese civil law on the responsibility for compensation for damages caused by sources of extreme danger. In addition, to comprehensively evaluate the law, the author conducts research on the practical application of legal provisions combined with legal experience from a number of progressive countries to recognize the inadequacies in legal provisions on this issue and make recommendations for improving the law.

This research determines the impact of foreign direct investment (FDI) on the economic growth of Vietnam (economic) over the period 1990 to 2020 after the political and economic reforms (Doi Moi) in 1986. The study uses the VAR model through unit root test, Granger causality, impulse response, and variance decompositions to achieve the goal of finding the impacts of FDI on economic growth.

This dissertation is composed of two parts, an integrative essay and a set of published papers. The essay and the collection of papers are placed in the context of development and application of time series econometric models in a temporal-axis from 1970s through 2005, with particular focus in the Marketing discipline. This research demonstrates how housing demand can be modelled by using a System Dynamics approach. This modelling concept has been set up, using the root causes which generate housing demand. Causal factors which influence housing demand are collated, and mapped. A model simulating housing demand was developed. Keys to this are demographic, social and economic factors. This model is presented with a view to pursuing new approaches for housing demand modelling.
