  • The paper also describes a few implementations of ABE applied in the cryptography community and the challenges of integrating ABE into real-world applications. Finally, the paper proposes an implementation of ABE for Android mobile devices. This implementation associated with the Kerberos protocol can be applied to secured data sharing applications. The Kerberos protocol aims at providing mutual authentication for the client server model. Experiments have evaluated the proposed ABE implementation on Android mobile devices along with the Kerberos system.

  • Although mobile devices, cellular phones, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) and other handheld devices have hardware constraints such as small screen, small storage, low CPU speed, and low resolution, their popularity has been enormously increasing. This is enhancing the opportunities for researchers to overcome those open problems caused of small size hardware constraints. However, still the biggest difficulty is that these devices are too difficult to load today’s visual information because most current information is based on a large visual documentation.

  • IP Mobility This chapter will provide an overview of IP mobility. It aims to be pretty selfcontained, and so should stand alone fairly independently of the other chapters. IP mobility is very important, because it is predicted that the vast majority of terminals will be mobile in a few years and that the vast majority of traffic will originate from IP-based applications. The challenge of ‘IP mobility’ is to deliver IP-based applications to mobile terminals/users, even though, traditionally, IP-protocols have been designed with the assumption that they are stationary...

  • The OECD is a unique forum where the governments of 30 democracies work together to address the economic, social and environmental challenges of globalisation. The OECD is also at the forefront of efforts to understand and to help governments respond to new developments and concerns, such as corporate governance, the information economy and the challenges of an ageing population. The Organisation provides a setting where governments can compare policy experiences, seek answers to common problems, identify good practice and work to co-ordinate domestic and international policies....

  • In recent times, while markets are reaching their saturation limits and customers are be- coming more demanding, a paradigm shift has been taking place from mass production to customized mass production. The concept of customization focuses on satisfying a cus- tomer’s unique needs with the help of new technologies. Typically, the products are similar but they differ in some parameters which make manual teaching and manual preparation of the manufacturing programs not acceptable.

  • Cyber-physical systems (CPSs) are an emerging research topic born from the ever increasing complexity of engineered systems. Future systems will have to interact with each other and with the physical world in a very tight and well coordinated fashion, and designing such systems is the research challenge behind CPSs. CPSs have been defined as “computational thinking and integration of com putation around the physical dynamic systems where sensing, decision, actuation, computation, networking, and physical processes are mixed”.

  • The nonholonomic nature of the car-like robot is related to the assump- tion that the robot wheels roll without slipping. This implies the presence of a nonintegrable set of rst-order di erential constraints on the con guration variables. While these nonholonomic constraints reduce the instantaneous mo- tions that the robot can perform, they still allow global controllability in the con guration space. This unique feature leads to some challenging problems in the synthesis of feedback controllers, which parallel the new research issues arising in nonholonomic motion planning.

  • If we are to realize the everyday benefits promised by pervasive computing and context- aware applications, we must first develop the foundation systems that will make those applications easy to develop, to deploy, and to maintain. We must develop systems that provide the necessary contextual information with accuracy, robustness, and scalability. We must also address the technical challenges of engineering these systems for use by humans and mobile devices in indoor environments.
