  • SOLVABILITY CONDITIONS FOR SOME DIFFERENCE OPERATORS N. C. APREUTESEI AND V. A. VOLPERT Received 24 June 2004 Infinite-dimensional difference operators are studied. Under the assumption that the coefficients of the operator have limits at infinity, limiting operators and associated polynomials are introduced. Under some specific conditions on the polynomials, the operator is Fredholm and has the zero index. Solvability conditions are obtained and the exponential behavior of solutions of the homogeneous equation at infinity is proved. 1.

  • This research was performed to determine the effect of different operating parameters on seed holding in a single seed metering unit. The metering unit was a vertical seed plate with a vacuum, used in seeding maize (Zea mays L.). An electronic counter in the metering unit was used to determine the holes without seed on the plate holes.

  • The operational procedures of the Bank of Greece underwent major changes during the 1990s. These shifts in operational strategy made interest rates the main tool of monetary policy for the first time in Greece. This paper examines the effects of changes in the bank’s operational interest rates on market interest rates at eight maturities and for different operational regimes. A major feature of our study is the application of the event study methodology used in finance, which has not been employed in any previous study on this subject.
